Fen - Leah | Hobbie - Shel

Fenig Durak: ----
Fenig Durak: Fen hadn't really slept too much. She'd cuddled a bit with her sleeping hubby,
Fenig Durak: turned and tried to sleep, and then finally got up to get some work on her designs
Fenig Durak: done. That's where she was when dawn finally bled into the windows and hit her
Fenig Durak: face like a wrecking ball.
Hobbie Klivian: Hobbie blinked awake, not entirely sure of himself just now. His bed was empty, as it had been for so long... was it all a dream? He stretched and yawned. Then, scratching his bed-head of golden locks, he entered the main room.
Hobbie Klivian: Then it hit him. It all was not a dream. Wes was gone, and he was married. He was caught somewhere between wanting to cry in anguish, and grin with joy. So, he did what any confused pilot would do. He went to the woman seated ne
Hobbie Klivian: ar the window, and wrapped his arms around her from behind. "Want to eat?"
Fenig Durak: 'Not really. I' m not feeling very hungry.' She leaned back against the chair, her hands
Fenig Durak: sliding around his arms. 'How'd you sleep?'
Hobbie Klivian: He shrugged, leaning to rest his chin on her shoulder. "With my eyes closed."
Fenig Durak: She snorted a very soft laugh. 'Funny.' Her hands stroked over his arms fondly as her
Fenig Durak: mind wandered throughterritory she once considered forbidden.
Hobbie Klivian: He tilted his head to kiss at her neck before standing and going to see if there was actually any food in the kitchen.
Fenig Durak: She glanced after him, her eyes dark and sad. She didn't like the new realm that seemed
Fenig Durak: to have moved in and taken over her mind. It raised questions that she never
Fenig Durak: wanted the answers to.
Hobbie Klivian: He soon reappeared with a few mugs of caf and a bagel atop each. He set one cup and bagel before her. He sat down across from her. "You didn't sleep last night," he observed.
Fenig Durak: She nodded andtook the bagel from the mug before wrapping her hands around
Fenig Durak: the warmth, bringing itup to her mouth and just breathing the thick aroma of the
Fenig Durak: caf. 'Yeah, I was thinking too much.'
Hobbie Klivian: "What about?"
Fenig Durak: Looking at him over the mug of her caf, she came very close to giving him a silent
Fenig Durak: reply, but the fact that he was her husband and she treasured the trust between
Fenig Durak: spouses brought vocie to lips. 'About you and about Wes and about my baby.'
Hobbie Klivian: "I see...."
Fenig Durak: 'And about how all of this is going to work out,' she added softly.
Hobbie Klivian: He nodded. "It will."
Fenig Durak: She wasn't even about to mention how she was worried for Siee and Kyp and
Fenig Durak: terrified for all of the family and friends of those that had died at Kyp's hand. Reguardly
Fenig Durak: *Reguardless of the reasons for their deaths.
Fenig Durak: 'I'mglad you're so confident, love.' Was that a faint smile she wore while sipping on
Fenig Durak: the caf?
Hobbie Klivian: "I'm learning."
Hobbie Klivian: He thoughtfully began eating.
Fenig Durak: She let moments of silence pass between them as she explored his face with her
Fenig Durak: eyes. She'd been lucky this time. So close had she come to missing her chance
Fenig Durak: with this wonderful man and somehow, somewhere, the fates had been looking out
Fenig Durak: for her. Finally. she broke that train of thought with soft words. 'Credit for your thoughts?'
Hobbie Klivian: "They're not worth that much.
Fenig Durak: 'They are to me.'
Hobbie Klivian: He half smiled, "I guess so."
Fenig Durak: 'So?' she coaxed.
Hobbie Klivian: "Not thinking about much. Just amazed at how things are changing. Not sure what to think."
Fenig Durak: She nodded absently. Though a split second later her face brightened, 'Oh hey, I
Fenig Durak: almost forgot. I got my new ID cards yesterday.'
Fenig Durak: 'All my service tags and such are changed now.'
Hobbie Klivian: He blinked, You did?
Hobbie Klivian: ""
Fenig Durak: 'Yeah. They all read Fenig Klivian now,' she beamed.
Hobbie Klivian: "Wow."
Fenig Durak: That wasn't the reaction she'd been expecting. She hadn't been expecting much, but
Fenig Durak: that certainly wasn't it. Her smile fell a bit. 'What?'
Hobbie Klivian: "I wasn't expecting you to change your name, is all," he smiled. "I guess you surprised me."
Fenig Durak: 'Oh, you scared me there for a moment.' She shook her head. She hadn't changed
Fenig Durak: it for Jake, but then they had married in more dire times. Little details like that were
Fenig Durak: entirely unimportant. Rising from her seat, she retrieved her clothing and fished about
Fenig Durak: in the hip pockets, soon producing the little cloth name badge that was going to replace
Fenig Durak: F. Durak on all of her uniforms. 'See?' Not a huge change, but it mattered to her.
Hobbie Klivian: He let his smile grow as he looked at it, "I am amazed," he said, before pulling her to sit in his lap.
Hobbie Klivian: "THat you would even want my name."
Fenig Durak: 'Why? I think it's a great name.' *Now all I have to do is figure out what the frell
Fenig Durak: I'll be naming my kid. Janson or Klivian* She smiled lovignly and draped her arms
Fenig Durak: over his shoulders.
Hobbie Klivian: Not for the frst time, he wished he could read her mind. He shrugged and reached around her for his caf.
Fenig Durak: *Janson. Definately Janson. It's Wes' kid reguardless of what my name is,* she
Fenig Durak: decided and leaned to the side to make it easier for Hobbie to reach his caf.
Hobbie Klivian: He took it and sipped at as he thought things that had wandered through his own mind for a while now.
Fenig Durak: Funny how two people can silently wish for the same mind reading powers sometimes.
Hobbie Klivian: "I know it's a bit early to be thinking about this...."
Fenig Durak: 'What is it?'
Hobbie Klivian: He sipped at his caf, his opposite hand trailing to rest on her stomach as he said nothing.
Fenig Durak: She chuckled softly. 'You've been thinking about putting a hand on my stomach?'
Hobbie Klivian: He shook his head, "No, about your child."
Fenig Durak: 'Oh. Anything in particular that you've been pondering?'
Hobbie Klivian: He shrugged eloquently and took another sip of his caf.
Fenig Durak: Tapping his nose with a light finger, she smiled. 'You're a real deep one, ain'tcha?'
Hobbie Klivian: "If you're saying I'm in deep, you're probably right. If you're saying I *am* deep, I'd say you were wrong. There's not much to me."
Fenig Durak: 'Hey?'
Hobbie Klivian: In silent response he winked at her as he sipped his caff, his other hand trailing small circles over her abdomen.
Fenig Durak: 'Love you,' she said with a little kiss to his cheek. 'Any ideas on names?' Always on the hunt
Fenig Durak: for a good name.
Hobbie Klivian: He shook his head, "I've given you all my ideas before... and it's not my place. That is your decision," he looked at her with a sad smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.
Fenig Durak: She stroked his cheek lovingly, trying to find the right words though none came.
Hobbie Klivian: He didn't look at her as he continued speaking, taking a sip of his caf. "I've also been thinking that the child should have Wes' name... though I'd like to adopt it," he said quietly.
Fenig Durak: 'I was thinking the same thing about Wes' name.' The adopting thing surprised her. She wasn't sure that Wes would allow that.
Fenig Durak: 'What are the laws reguarding adoption in cases like this?'
Hobbie Klivian: "As far as I know, if two people marry and one has a child, the other is allowed to adopt the child... but I think, I HOPE, Wes turns up again before hand so I can have his blessing," he sghed a long sigh.
Fenig Durak: She leaned forward and touched her forehead to his. 'I'm sorry this is so complicated.'
Hobbie Klivian: He nodded n response.
Fenig Durak: 'You deserve a less stressful start on marriage.'
Hobbie Klivian: "If that were the case, I'd KNOW something was going wrong."
Fenig Durak: She snorted derisively. 'Seems my marriages don't favor good beginnings.'
Hobbie Klivian: He set down the caf and wrapped his arms around her, "Well, good begining or no, it will be good til the end, I promise."
Fenig Durak: Snuggling close, she smiled more confidently. 'Oh, of that I have never had a doubt.'
Hobbie Klivian: "Good."
Hobbie Klivian: *because with nothing to live for, I'll be living for you....*
Fenig Durak: 'Can I ask you something?'
Hobbie Klivian: "Of cousre."
Fenig Durak: 'When was the moment that you knew?'
Hobbie Klivian: "Knew?"
Fenig Durak: 'About us. How you felt.'
Fenig Durak: 'About us. About how you felt.'
Hobbie Klivian: "I'm not certain," he tilted his head to think a moment, "I started to suspect something was wrong when I wasn't too thrilled that Wes decided to take you out...."
Fenig Durak: She blinked. 'Really? All the way back then?' Yeah, like it was that long ago.
Hobbie Klivian: He shrugged. "Yes. I suppose."
Fenig Durak: 'Wow, Hobbs. I'm impressed.' She'd considered sometime last night about calling him Derek more regularly, but then what nickname on a nickname would she call him if not Hobbs?
Hobbie Klivian: He didn't have a response for that, and just simply sighed, looking down into his caf as though it had answers to every question in his mind.
Fenig Durak: She recognized that look on his face as he stared at the thick liquid. Stroking his cheek with the back of her fingers, she smiled lovingly at him, 'Should I offer another credit, hun?'
Hobbie Klivian: He shook his head and turned a kind look upon her, "Nothing important," he half smiled.
Fenig Durak: 'fibber'
Hobbie Klivian: "Perhaps. Then again, it all comes from a point of view.
Hobbie Klivian: "
Fenig Durak: 'Well, then tell me what you were thinknig so I can make a judgement call on how important it was.'
Hobbie Klivian: "You wouldn't believe me, Fen." he shook his head. "Trust me and let this one lie."
Fenig Durak: She studied his eyes for a long moment before she nodded and tightened her arms around him. Her lips brushed against his ear where she whispered softly, 'Love you lots, husband mine.'
Hobbie Klivian: "Hn," he half smiled and hugged her gently. "Love you too." His eyes caught the chrono and he sighed, "However...."
Fenig Durak: 'You have to get ready don'tyou?' she sighed dejectedly.
Hobbie Klivian: "Yes."
Fenig Durak: 'I suppose you want me to get up, don't you?'
Hobbie Klivian: "No."
Fenig Durak: 'Do you need me to then?' She smiled lightly, wanting nothing more than to stay close to him for the next few days.
Fenig Durak: 'Do you need me to then?' She smiled lightly, wanting nothing more than to stay close to him for the next few days.
Hobbie Klivian: "Well...."
Fenig Durak: 'think you can let me have just a few more moments before you go bury yourself in work for the day?' she pleaded softly.
Hobbie Klivian: He rested his head on her shoulder in respone.
Fenig Durak: Her cheek pressed against his head as she relaxed in those precious minutes he'd granted her. In his eyes
Fenig Durak: she had seen the very doubt she'd been dreading. The very question that those more apt to gossip had been
Fenig Durak: whispering behind their backs. Yes, she was disappointed, though she could hardly blame him.
Hobbie Klivian: "Fen?" he spoke into her shoulder. "Be honest. If I asked you to marry me today, if Wes was still around, if...." he couldn't finish and let out a shuddring sigh. "Would you still have said yes?"
Fenig Durak: It tore her heart out to hear all of this outloud, to feel his shudder against her and know
Fenig Durak: how much this was tearing at him. She leaned back to meet his eyes, 'I don't know the answer to that, Hobbie. If things
Fenig Durak: had been different, would they be different now? Yes. What I do know is that I love you and I know that I was an idiot for not seeing how much Ioved
Fenig Durak: you sooner. I know that what happened between us and what resulted from it is completely seperate
Fenig Durak: in my mind from all that with Wes.' She tried to smile, though was still wracked with remorse for Hobbie. She had managed to find another great love and ruin his life as
Fenig Durak: well. 'I'm sorry though, that it had to happen at time that made it seem like I wanted something else from you.'
Hobbie Klivian: He didn't answer her, but after looking at her a moment, he reached up and pulled her head down to his in a soulful kiss.
Fenig Durak: All she could think to do was kiss him back with a ferver that she prayed further cemented everything she'd just told him.
Hobbie Klivian: Unfortunately, duty has its place, and Hobbie is a man of duty. He slowly pulled away, planting small kisses on her lips before sighing and just looking at her. "I love you, Fen. Don't forget that, okay?"
Fenig Durak: "I couldn't if I wanted to," she replied with a delicate smile. "Just don't forget that I love you right back."
Hobbie Klivian: "Never," he whispered seriously to her before planting a small kiss on her nose, and standing easily with her in his arms.
Fenig Durak: 'When you get back though," she went on while her lengs dangled from his strong arms, 'can we talk some?'
Hobbie Klivian: He nodded moving to lay her down on the bed, nose to nose he said, "of course." before leaving her there and searching for a clean day uniform.
Fenig Durak: She leaned up on her elbows to watch him dress. She still had time to take a leisurely shower, dress, and saunter on down to the flight hanger. OF course, she wouldn't as soon as she was alone since she was just as much the
Fenig Durak: workaholic as HObbie, she jsut had a better idea of how to balance it with personal things.
Hobbie Klivian: He did so, figuring on taking a shower that evening, as was his wont - that way he always knew he'd be ready to go at a crack - and while buttoning on his shirt he moved to give her a goodbye kiss.
Fenig Durak: She sat up to return his kiss, her fingers setting to work on unbottoning the button's he'd just buttoned.
Hobbie Klivian: "Hey! what are you doing?"
Fenig Durak: "Fixing your buttons," she said evenly as she put the correct buttons in the correct buttonholes.
Hobbie Klivian: "Oh."
Fenig Durak: Grinning, she quirked a brow. "What did you think I was doing?"
Hobbie Klivian: He blushed slightly, "Uh.... yeah." he grinned. "Later?"
Fenig Durak: "Which later do you mean, Hobbie?" Oooo....devilish grin to get more blushes.
Hobbie Klivian: Which of course she got. "Uhm.... you decide, I've got to go." He ducked down for a quick kiss and headed to the door.
Fenig Durak: "Have a good day," she called after him as she rose to take a shower.
Hobbie Klivian: He waved a hand to her and disappeared.
