Leah as Feni and Deren | Shelonei as Hobbie | Introducing
Ed as Erc
Fenig Durak: Fen had been back on Coruscant after her
quick trip to Tibrin for all of two hours. She was on a mission to find
another pearl like the one Hobbie had fished out of the ocean for her.
She wanted to make them into their wedding
Fenig Durak: rings. She'd found one at a fairly modest
price, and that jeweler was even going to make the rings for her! So taking
a break before heading back to base to start the slow process of packing
her things, Fen decided to get lunch at
Fenig Durak: one of the nicer restaurants in upper Coruscant.
ErcVortan: Erc and Deren had finally found time to travel back to
the center of the New Republic. Erc, after resigning from Intel had stayed
away, not wanting to get dragged into anythign
ErcVortan: But Deren had wanted to see the planet again. And both
really wanted to see Fenig
ErcVortan: Erc was wearing a simple but neat civilian Suit
ErcVortan: "You think she's going to be home?
Deren: Deren, so pleased that chasing around
a toddler had restored her figure, held the hand ofher heavy world hubbie,
feeling free and comfy in her more favored clothing. "PRobably. How often
do mechanics travel? You have her comm
Deren: frequency?"
ErcVortan: "I do, but I wanted to have some surprise. As for how often
do they travel, depends on the unit they are assigned to. And this is Rogue
Squadron. This is the Place, let's just go up."
Deren: "Look at the time, Erc, she's not going
to be available. Comm her." She looked at him with a quirked brow and
a cocky grin.
Fenig Durak: Fen, still in that casual restaurant for
lunch, ordered iced tea and a big salad with bits of fried fowl.
ErcVortan: Erc knew he had no chance of winning this, Just looking
at the hang of her Red hair told him that, but after fighting the Empire,
he wasn't going without a fight. "It's not that late."
Deren: "Alright, but if she's too busy, I told
you so." Condescension in advance! Woo!
ErcVortan: Erc almost let Deren go with that, he took a step, then
pulled out his Comm. "Ms Durak, I would like to arrnage a meeting with
you. Are you availible?" Erc never ID'd himself hoping she might just miss
the voice.
Fenig Durak: Fen groaned at herself for leaving her comm
on in a restaurant. "Durak here, no, I'm currently away from my office.
Do you need something?"
Fenig Durak: Nope, voice wasnt' familiar, she hadn't
heard it in about a year.
ErcVortan: "Well, I was hoping you would have time for family. But
I can take this Redhead home, and come back later, any time that would
be better?"
Deren: Deren chuckled, "Don't listen to him
Fen, he's full of piss and vinegar about the trip over here."
ErcVortan: "I am not! it's just the last time I was here, Cracken
was not happy with me.
ErcVortan: Somethign about quiting when he needed me most!"
Fenig Durak: Fen nearly fell out of her chair. "Gawd
y'all, why don't you join me for lunch to catch up. I'm at Hops about
half a klick south from base. Need directions?"
ErcVortan: Erc looked at Deren and nearly lost it. "I have a grid
map, it's marked. We'll be there in a second."
ErcVortan: ERc held the speeder door open, and waited for Deren
Deren: She blew him a sarcastic kiss and a
wink. "We shoulda brought my speeder, be there in half a second."
Fenig Durak: "See y'all then."
Fenig Durak: Fen nearly bounced in her chair, all kinds
of excited to see two of her favorite people again. You'd never know she
and Deren hated each other at one point.
ErcVortan: Erc drove, and ignored the "help" deren tried to give.
It was times like this he missed the official government speeders, with
the Radios that could interupt conversations
ErcVortan: Erc pulled up and got out
ErcVortan: He opened the door, and then threw the Code Key to the
attendent. "Keep her safe."
Deren: "Ahem," oh she loved acting all btichy
to Erc. He knew it was teasing and took it all in stride. Stepping out,
she slipped her hand into Erc's and winked at the attendant.
ErcVortan: ERc escorted the beauty in and took a look around, immediately
spotting the Almost petite Mechanic. He pointed her out to Deren, and let
her take the lead
Fenig Durak: Fen rose up from her chair and waved them
over. As soon as they were in arms' reach, she wrapped them both in a
HUGE hug. "It's so good to see you guys!"
ErcVortan: "you are quite the sight for us too. Retirement is fun.
but can be boring at times." Erc gave her a wink, and returned the hug
Fenig Durak: Things really had changed. She seemed much
happier, she'd let her white streak grow back in, and was generally much
more content. "Sit, the waitress will be back in a moment."
Deren: Deren flicked a bit at Fen's hair and
smirked. "Going grey early or do you like wearing rodents on your head?"
What was that nickname she'd called Fen back in the day?
ErcVortan: Erc took in her appearence. He had known her a long time.
Well, a very long time concidering the war. He noticed the changes. and
thought they agreed with her. But he could see more in her eyes. Something
was wrong.
ErcVortan: "Grey, That's pure white.and I think it l;ooks good on
her."
Fenig Durak: Fen settled back into her seat and took
a sip of her tea. "Thank you, Erc. I happen to like it." QUICK SUBJECT
CHANGE! "So tell me everything! I've missed you all so much!"
Deren: She made a face at Erc before sitting
and smiling at Fen.
ErcVortan: Erc saw the face, but paid no attention. "Well, you heard
I quit right? Right after the Issard was taken out. Actually, I never came
back from that, Even when the Rogues did."
Fenig Durak: "I heard you retired, yeah. Heard that
Cracken was pissed! I also heard someone told him to shove it and that
you have a family to tend to. That wouldn't have been you, would it?"
She grinned knowingly, looking between Erc and
Fenig Durak: Deren. These two ereally were the perfect
match.
ErcVortan: "Well, that's more polite then I phrased it, but it was
the general meaning." Erc thought back to that fight. Cracken really thought
he was coming back. Just going to take up where he left off.
ErcVortan: But not even close. He missed too much of Fiana's life
at that point.
Fenig Durak: "How is the little squirt anyway? I haven't
seen her since my transfer to the Rogues." Fiana. A combination of Fenig
and Tiana. Fen had been so flattered that she'd nearly cried.
ErcVortan: ERc looked over at the proud mom. "well, tell her everything"
And he accented the everything with a wink.
ErcVortan: Having a partial heavy worlder child really takes it's
toll.
Deren: "WEll, she's gotten so big in the last
few months. I've spent a fortune on her clothes alone. She misses her
aunties and her father spoils her, but other than that, having a 3 year
old half heavy worlder is...well... tough. She
Deren: my finger about two months ago in a
tempertantrum." She glanced meaningfully at Erc. He'd been the one to
tell Fiana that htye could go to the park after DEren had already told
her no. That wasn't a fun day for anyone.
ErcVortan: "not my fault, I didn't know you said no! she asked me
in another room!"
Deren: "A likely story," she drolled on, grinning
at Fen.
ErcVortan: It was times like this that Erc missed the heavy blaster
on his hip, and the imperial shooting at him.
Fenig Durak: "Oh boy. Can we pass onthe horror stories
please? I don't want to think about toddler years until I reach them,
thank you." She nodded firmly, forgetting for a moment that she'd not
told them yet.
ErcVortan: "What do you mean reach them? I know you are young, but
not that young."
Deren: Deren lifted a brow and smiled. "Fen....
how's Jake doing?"
Fenig Durak: Fen winced a little. "Oh right....Jake."
She wrapped her hands around her glass and was just about to tell them
when the waitress came back.
ErcVortan: With the mention of Jake, Erc's expression turned a bit
darker. He always concidered that one of his biggest failures.
Fenig Durak: "Welcome to Hops. What can I get for you?"
She looked to Deren and Erc, her triple eyes wide and fairly yellow against
her dark skin.
Deren: Deren remembered Erc's reaction to
Jake, and also remembered talking to Fen about divorce a few years ago when
Fen was with Rafe.
ErcVortan: Turning his attention to the waitress, and smiled. "I think
We need a few drinks, to celebrate old friends."
Fenig Durak: "Right, what would you like? We've got
a few microbrew ales on the menu as well as name brands and hard liquor."
Fenig Durak: "I'll stick with tea, thanks."
ErcVortan: Erc looked at Fen and then back. "Corellian Ale please,
Deren?"
Deren: Looking at the list of microbrews,
Deren picked a darker one before turning to Fen. "Still not a drinker,
FenFen?"
ErcVortan: "You know how she gets when she drinks. We might end up
with Sludge shooting from the Air Vents in that speeder."
Fenig Durak: She grimaced a little at the childhood nickname
but left it alone. "Hey now! I just don't like to drink all that often,
you know that."
ErcVortan: "But this isn't just anytime. When was the last time we
all sat together?"
Fenig Durak: Taking their orders, she left them be to
go get their drinks, returning soon enough with Deren's dark ale and Erc's
Corellian Ale.
Fenig Durak: "Almost exactly 15 months ago," she nodded
in accent of the time. "But I really shouldn't have anything."
Deren: "Why's that, Fen," she questioned knowingly.
ErcVortan: Erc let it drop, but now was convinced somethign was wrong.
But leave it to Deren to pick things up again
ErcVortan: Erc simply put his hand on Derens and squeezed a little,
showing this might not be the time
Fenig Durak: Fen readjusted in her seat, squirming nervously
as she tired to pick her words. "Well, I'll start with Jake. He granted
me a divorce a while ago, just about six months ago after another fun little
bout in Imp Interrogation." She
Fenig Durak: sighed softly at that and shook her head.
IT was all in the past now.
Deren: "And the rest?" She didn't think something
was wrong. She had a pretty good idea of what was new though.
ErcVortan: the Mention of interigation Got ERc going again. He hadn't
heard this, and he was going to check with some friends he still had.
Fenig Durak: "Two things. First one is, I'm pregnant."
She smiled meekly. She was much more excited about this than she was
making it seem.
ErcVortan: That hit Erc like the last time he was Shot. He sat straight
up and looked right at Fen
Fenig Durak: She blushed a little and sank into her chair.
Deren: "HA! I knew it!" SHe clapped once,
feeling mighty proud of herself.
ErcVortan: Deren could always be counted on to snap Erc out of it,
he looked at her and mumbled "women!"
Fenig Durak: "Not my fault!"
Fenig Durak: "Well...it's partially my fault. But he's
a good guy and I know he'll be a good father."
ErcVortan: Erc finally recovered enough to speak, "Whos' the Father?"
Deren: "Will he be good to you?" She wasn't
thinking marriage. AFter all, Deren and Erc hadn't gotten married until
after Fiana was almost a year old.
Fenig Durak: "His name is Wes and he is good to me.
We're good friends and I respect him very much." She nodded and finally
sat back up in her chair, feeling less guilty.
ErcVortan: "Wes Janson?" Erc had been around long enough to know the
current Rogue Squadron Roster, and even worked with them a few times
Fenig Durak: SHe nodded. "That's the one."
Deren: "Oooh, I've seen holos of him. He's
a stud with that pony tail and those broad shoulders... mmmm..." she seemed
to fade into a day dream, though glanced at Erc from the corner of her
eye.
ErcVortan: ERc wasn't sure how to react to that one. He liked the
guy, but really didn't know him. And it wasn't Just anyone he was having
a child with. This was Fenig."
Hobbie Klivian: Just at that moment, Fenig's comm chimed.
ErcVortan: "Settle down Sweetie, You're taken." Erc stopped when the
Comm went off
Fenig Durak: "Excuse me for a moment?" She sighed at
herself again and picked up her comm. "Durak here."
Deren: "Just because I'm on a diet doenst'
mean I can't look at the menu," she winked. Erc was the only man for her
and he knew it.
ErcVortan: "so, that goes for me too?
Hobbie Klivian: C> "Hey Fen, it's me. Uhm...I hate to tellyou this
- but Myn kept me a bit longer than I thought he would, so I maybe a bit
late for supper."
Deren: "Look all you like, but don't touch.
I'll have to break her bones."
ErcVortan: "Well, I can't have that, can I?"
Fenig Durak: C> "THat's alright. I ran into two old
friends of mine, so I'll probably be a bit late as well. Want me to pick
something up, or are we going to fend for ourselves?"
Deren: "Exactly."
ErcVortan: ERc knew Deren was deadly serious, even playing there.
But since marrying her, He hadn't even concidered another woman.
Hobbie Klivian: C> "We can fend. I'll meet you in downtime then?"
Fenig Durak: C> "See you there."
Hobbie Klivian: C>"Love you, oh Wonderful Wife of mine," he chuckled.
ErcVortan: "Ok, well, be warned, the visual sensors might be active
now."
Fenig Durak: She blushed. C> "Love you too, husband
mine."
Hobbie Klivian: C>"Klivian out."
Deren: Deren stopped listening to ERc and
tiurned a very huge grin on Fen. "What was all that about, FenFen?"
Fenig Durak: She shut off her com and turned that blush
to the pair. "Uhm... that was my other bit of news."
ErcVortan: "YES?"
Fenig Durak: "Uh, I know you've heard of Wes, but have
you heard of Hobbie?"
Deren: "He's the blonde, right?"
Fenig Durak: "Right. Blonde with incredible blue eyes."
ErcVortan: "Hobbie? what's he... NO!"
Fenig Durak: She winced at Erc's outburst.
ErcVortan: "what about Wes? I thought he was.... You got some splaining
to do!"
Fenig Durak: "Well, Wes is the father of my baby, yeah,
but, I uh.... I
Fenig Durak: *I'm married to Hobbie." She wrinkled her
nose in a sheepish smile, trying to break this softly.
Deren: Deren just started laughing, tearing
up and running out of breath before she forced herself to calm down.
ErcVortan: "MARRIED? When? How?
Fenig Durak: Another wince. "Less than 24 hours ago,
on Tibrin, and we got back about an hour ago."
Fenig Durak: "But know one else knows about it. Please,
keep it quiet?"
ErcVortan: Erc was shocked. But he used to be in Intel, he cold keep
a secert. "Congrats!"
Fenig Durak: Breathing a sigh of releif, she relaxed
visibly. "Thank you."
ErcVortan: "So, when do we see him?"
Deren: "Wow, Fen, congratulations! You're
sure then that Wes is the father?"
You have just entered room "Try
2."
Fenig Durak: "Yes, Deren, I'm sure. And you can meet
him later if you're still around. Tomorrow if he's not busy. Sound good?"
ErcVortan: "Works for us, we are here for a couple days. Right Deren?"
Deren: "Right. Vacation time away from Erc's
spoiled little girl," she winked.
Fenig Durak: "Vacation time. There's a word new to Hobbie's
vocabulary."
ErcVortan: "Well, he's going to have to bring you to see us. Or I'll
have an issue with him." Erc smiled to Fen, and then got up walking over
to her
ErcVortan: "Congrats, I'm really happy for you" He said as he took
her up in his arms
ErcVortan: Hugging her
Fenig Durak: She looked up to Erc curiously. That is,
until he picked her up and hugged her. "Oof...I'd forgotten you tend to
do this."
Fenig Durak: Man could she dangle. And dangle she did.
Deren: She chuckled lightly. "Erc, put her
down. You're going to squish the mommy juices right out of her!"
ErcVortan: Placing her gently back into her seat, Erc turned to Deren.
"I didn't hurt you , now did I?"
Deren: "Not before, nor after you knocked
me up, no." She grinned teasingly.
Fenig Durak: Readjusting in her chair, she laughed at
DEren. "Feeling feisty today?"
ErcVortan: "When does she not? Come on. you have known her longer
then me."
Fenig Durak: "Too true."
Deren: "I couldn't keep Erc in line if I wasn't
feisty every now and then."
ErcVortan: Erc gave Deren a knowing smile and winked at her. It had
been too long since they had a break. Just the Two of them. Made teh flight
here interesting
Deren: Yeah, that was part of the reason Deren
was wearing pants. Kept the bruises from rubbing together.
ErcVortan: Erc had his share of marks, fortunately they were placed
to be hidden by clothes.
Fenig Durak: "So should we plan for tomorrow? Lunch
maybe?"
ErcVortan: Erc looked over at Fenig again. "You know, I think Deren
is getting soft these days, We actually took the Fury here."
Deren: Deren sulked, obviously not happy about
that fact.
Fenig Durak: She gasped in mock shock. "What?! Have
you trashed the Ore Not? And if so, have you need of a good mechanic?"
ErcVortan: Tomorrow sounds great. I talked to a friend of mine, got
a place here cheap, close to the Senate building.
Deren: "No, it's fine. I didn't feel like
plotting the course and flying and all of that pilot stuff. I wanted to
kick back, relax, and admire my beef stick." What an AWFUL nickname for
Erc.
Fenig Durak: Fenig nearly spit out her iced tea. "Your
what?!"
ErcVortan: And one Erc didn't care for. Which only seemed to make
Deren use it even more
ErcVortan: "Don't get her started! Please!"
Deren: "Beef stick. Long story, I'll tell
you when he's not around," she winked.
ErcVortan: "Wonderful! I wonder is Solo is here! I could use a good
game of Sabbac now!"
Fenig Durak: "Uh.... he's knee deep in ankle biters.
At least he was last time I saw him," she shrugged, picking up her com
and setting it for Hobbie's frequency.
Fenig Durak: She buzzed him, grinning. Using her comm
in public was starting to feel a little...rebellious and nifty.
ErcVortan: ERc Pulled his own Comm out, and looked at Deren, "What?
If you are going to be gossiping with her, why can't I see more friends?"
Hobbie Klivian: C>"Colonel Klivian."
Fenig Durak: C> "Sorry to bother you, honey. I'll
be quick. You know those friends I told you about? They were wondering
if you're free for lunch tomorrow."
Hobbie Klivian: C>"If I don't get called up, that'd be fine."
Fenig Durak: C> "Are you expecting to be?"
Hobbie Klivian: C>"I'm always expecting to be, Fen. That's what being
Lead is about."
Fenig Durak: C> "No, I know that, but I meant- nevermind.
Tentative plans for lunch tomorrow then?"
Hobbie Klivian: C>"Certainly."
Fenig Durak: C> "Great. See you tonight."
Hobbie Klivian: C>"Tonight. Out." -=click-
Fenig Durak: She frowned, wondering how Myn and Hobbie's
conversation went.
ErcVortan: "So, Hobbie has command now?"
Deren: "Never said you couldn't."
Fenig Durak: She nodded. "He has for longer than I've
been with them."
ErcVortan: "Damn, I am out of it"
ErcVortan: "Wonder if Cracken would be happy to see me."
ErcVortan: "You know, there are times I actually miss being a Colonel."
Deren: "Doubtful. I remember the nice message
he sent you whenhe realized you weren't coming back."
ErcVortan: "Come on, We all have tempers. And you know he did send
that second message."
Deren: "Well, it was hardly enough to make
up for some of the things he said in the first one." Deren never minded
being insulted. Unless the person had never met her, as Cracken hadn't.
ErcVortan: "Well, He is in a difficult position. That meeting started
with him giving me the General's Rank Insignia"
Fenig Durak: She sighed and looked around. "I wonder
what happened to our waitress."
Fenig Durak: She was out having a smoke, having forgotten
about the table of three.
ErcVortan: "Want me to go get her? I could use another drink."
Fenig Durak: "IF you want. I'm starting to get a little
worried about Hobbie...." She glanced at the door for a moment.
ErcVortan: "Or I can go find him. Why worried?"
Deren: Deren laughed softly, shaking her head
at Fen. "You've got it bad, girlie girl."
Fenig Durak: "I dunno, I just worry about him is all."
She flicked a glance at Deren. "Got what bad? I don't know what you're
talking about."
ErcVortan: "Fen, even I can see it now. It's bad."
Fenig Durak: "What?!"
Deren: Lookin gto Erc, she smiled. "SHould
we tell her?"
ErcVortan: ERc smiled back at Deren. "Be my guest."
ErcVortan: "You are better at it"
Deren: "Why thank you!" She turned back to
a squirming Fen, a pleased smile on her face. "You've got it bad for the
pilot, Fen. Worse than any I've ever seen."
ErcVortan: "Except maybe Deren herself, when she finally admitted
how she felt about me."
Fenig Durak: She sighed relief and leaned back in her
chair. "Well duh! And here I thought you had spotted something I didn't
already know." She laughed, shaking her head.
Deren: She lightly hit Erc's shoulder with
the back of her hand. "I meant besides that."
ErcVortan: ERc laughed, and mockingly rubbed his shoulder where it
was hit. "Watch it!"
Deren: "Back to what I was saying before,"
she glared teasingly at Erc, "You really do have it bad for him. How long
have you two been together? Before marriage I mean."
Fenig Durak: Fen bit her bottom lip as she thought.
"Well.... We've been friends since I got here, but we didn't really get
together until recently."
Deren: She quirked a brow and glanced meaningfully
to Erc.
ErcVortan: "Recently huh? Fen, now, you know how I feel about you,
so don't shoot me. But are you sure about how you feel for him?"
Fenig Durak: She nodded. "I've never been more sure."
ErcVortan: "Well, then you have my complete support."
Deren: "Our complete support." she amended.
ErcVortan: "I sit corrected. Our Support."
Deren: "So...." she went on. "How recently
did you two get together?"
Fenig Durak: She lifted her tea to her lips and mummbled
sort of softly, "Three days."
ErcVortan: Erc nearly fell out oif his chair. "Three DAYS?
Fenig Durak: "He asked me to marry him and I suggested
dating first!" she went on the defensive.
Deren: Deren couldn't get enough of this!
SHe started laughing again, unable to drink her ale.
ErcVortan: "Well, there is an idea" Erc got his voice under control
again, "How many dates?"
Fenig Durak: "Well, because of some things that had been
going on, we really only got one and a half."
ErcVortan: "So you got married instead. Nice. No offense of course."
Fenig Durak: "None taken. It was kind of spur of the
moment. Yeah, three days isn't long, but there is so much more between
Hobbie and I than there ever was with Jake, and that took years to build
up."
ErcVortan: Erc knew he was being a little rough on her, but it was
because he loved her that he did this.
Deren: Deren put her hand on Erc's leg beneath
the table and squeezed lightly. "Go easy on her, Erc. Even you can see
how happy he makes her. So what if it took three days to see instead of
three years."
ErcVortan: Erc knew Deren was right. "Your right, I haven't seen her
this happy in a long time. And Honestly, it's long overdue."
Fenig Durak: "Thank you."
ErcVortan: "Anytime Sweetie"
Fenig Durak: Smelling of smoke, the waitress came back.
"Sorry about that delay, folks. Are you ready to order?"
ErcVortan: ERc ooked up at her with his best "I'm going to rip your
arms off" look.
ErcVortan: "I think the ladies are more then Ready."
Fenig Durak: She nearly took a step back at the look
that very large man was giving her. She wasn't petite, but she was thin.
"Oh...right...ok."
Fenig Durak: She looked to Deren first.
Deren: She hadn't really looked at the menu,
but she knew pretty much what she wanted. "I'd like a bantha burger,
with the fixins, tubers, medium rare." That was pretty clear, right?"
Fenig Durak: She jotted that down on her flimsi notepad
and looked to Fen.
Fenig Durak: "I want the Southern Fried Salad with the
dressing on the side please." Her favorite.
Fenig Durak: She jotted that down and looked to Erc,
trying to give him a pleasant smile.
ErcVortan: Erc was last to order. "Dewback Ribs, Pleanty of sauce,
And another Ale
Fenig Durak: That on the page, she nodded and turned
to place the order with the kitchen. This time, she was much faster in
returning with Erc's drink.
Deren: "Can you ever be nice to any waiter?"
ErcVortan: "I could be, but We might not see her again. Seems Her
shift might be ending."
Fenig Durak: "I dunno," she waved her hand in front of
her nose. "Seems to me she was hitting her cig pretty hard."
ErcVortan: "Reminds me of Talbot. And Rai."
Fenig Durak: "Yeah? I never started to really notice
until I moved here."
ErcVortan: Well, I worked closer with both of them. There were times
they both smelled worse then her."
Fenig Durak: "How is Talbot anyway? Gawd, I haven't
thought about him in ages."
ErcVortan: He left service before I did. Before Taking this place."
Erc motioned around the room, Actually meaning the liberation of Coruscant."I
haven't heard form him directly, but I know he's alive."
Fenig Durak: "Let me know if you do hear from him. I'd
love to rechallenge him to that knife throwing contest."
ErcVortan: "You got it."
Deren: "Oh? Got some practice in? I never
really took you for the dagger throwing type."
Fenig Durak: "No," she retorted petulantly. "But it
was still really fun."
ErcVortan: "Except is you were near the target."
Fenig Durak: "I was also drunk."
Deren: She blinked a few times. "You? Drunk?
With knives?"
ErcVortan: "It wasn't pretty."
Fenig Durak: "No, it wasn't. But it was certainly fun."
ErcVortan: "As if I was actually there. But I did look over the results.
I hated COmmand of that place."
Fenig Durak: "You seemed to fit into it well though."
Deren: "You always told me that you loved
your time with the Blackballs."
ErcVortan: "Thank you. How Starfighter Command ever allowed me to
Command one of there squadrons." Erc's Smile returned. "
ErcVortan: Oh. I do love the time there. And the people, but I never
felt confident commanding the Fighters. I prefer bigger ships."
Fenig Durak: "Speaking of ships, I finally sold my designs."
ErcVortan: "Congrats again, who bought them?"
Fenig Durak: The waitress returned with their food and
set it out in front of them before leaving them alone again.
ErcVortan: "Thank you"
Fenig Durak: "Freitech Industries. They're going to
start building the prototypes and test ships at the end of the month.
They've agreed to work with me via conference calls and such so I can stay
here."
ErcVortan: "Great, you need anything for the project?"
Fenig Durak: "Nope. I'm going to be making a few trips
here and there to their manufacturing plant to check up on progress, but
other than that, it's pretty much in their hands. Though I do have complete
control over changes made to the
Fenig Durak: designs." That, and she was going to be
a fairly wealthy woman.
Deren: "That is so great, Fen! I'm so happy
for you! These were the plans you started on just after Endor, right?"
Fenig Durak: "Right, the plans for the faster snubfighter."
She nodded.
ErcVortan: "More fighters!"
Fenig Durak: "What did you think I was designing?"
ErcVortan: "Oh, I knew, but you know me, I want bigger, faster ships."
Fenig Durak: She nibbled on her salad, enjoying one of
her most favoritest things.
ErcVortan: Erc was about halfway through the Ribs in front of him.
Deren might get on him about his attitude, but it usually made the service
better, and the food taste better. More care taken in the cooking.
Deren: Nah, she'd noticed the same thing,
so she didn't get on him about it in any serious manner anymore.
ErcVortan: "So, are you ladies going to want some time alone?"
Deren: She glanced at Fen
Fenig Durak: Who glanced back.
Deren: "Maybe later, after I've beaten you
and Solo out of about a hundred creds to take Fen out shopping with."
ErcVortan: "You might Beat Solo, but you have no chance at getting
my money!"
Deren: "Oh you think so?" She smiled and
winked at Fen. "We'll see."
Fenig Durak: Fen chuckled softly, shaking her head and
concentrating on her salad.
ErcVortan: "You know, this goes bad, I might need to beg Cracken or
Akbar for my job back."
Fenig Durak: Reaching the point of being full, Fen pushed
her plate away and leaned back in her seat. "You two never change."
ErcVortan: "Well, I should check the retirement fund none the less."
Fenig Durak: "If you ask really nice, maybe I'll give
you a few creds," she winked.
ErcVortan: "I can see it now, I hope Booster still needs that help!
I'll have the Fury loaned out, my working security."
Deren: "That'll be fun. I really enjoy Booster's
company. He's got such a great sense of humor. And a really nice beard."
ErcVortan: "I thought you liked the Goatee. I could grew the entire
beard out." Erc really had been thinking about doing something more then
being a home body. He loved it
Fenig Durak: "What is it about this Booster fellow and
his ship that attracts so many people? Wes wanted to go there a week ago,
then Hobbie almost wanted to get married there, and now you two."
ErcVortan: But He missed the action. Somethign he never wanted to
admit
Deren: "I'm only giving you crap, dear."
ErcVortan: Erc looked over at Fen. Booster Terrik is an old fashioned
Smuggler. I was with him while the rogues operated from that old Emperous
Class station.
Fenig Durak: She glanced at her chrono and nearly swore.
"Sith, I'm really really late." Looking up at the pair, she smiled apologetically.
"I'll see you two tomorrow?"
ErcVortan: In Fact, Booster Boarded the ImpStar That became the Errand
Venture in the Fury."
ErcVortan: "You have a good night. I'll tell you the Rest later. Say
hi to Hobbie for me."
Fenig Durak: "I will." She jumped up from her seat and
moved around the table to give them both quick hugs before darting otu
again.
Deren: Deren chuckled and worked on her burger.
"SHe's still Fen alright."
ErcVortan: "She is sure moving quicker then I have seen lately."
ErcVortan: "That will never change."
Deren: "Well, she's a busy woman now. Pregnant,
married, designing snubfighters and maintaining the Republics most prestigious
squadron..."
ErcVortan: "I do miss the work you know."
Deren: "She is really good," Deren admitted
before filling her mouth with a tuber.
ErcVortan: "Better then Good."
ErcVortan: "She can work magic with those fighters."
Deren: "Maybe that's why she started designing
them? Who knows, maybe this new ship of hers will be the best ever designed."
She shrugged.
ErcVortan: "I have no clue, but anyway, about you and me. Let's find
that Room. I wanna talk to you abouty your behavior." Erc gave Derena
knowing wink and set some credits down on the table. More then enough to
cover the meal.
Deren: She gave him a pleasureful smirk and
pushed back from the table. "Well, then we'd better be on our way."
ErcVortan: "After you Red. I prefer the view back here."
Deren: She obliged him by starting for the
door, tossing a glance here and there at him.
ErcVortan: Erc followed, his eyes fixated on the Love of his life.
Happy that not only was she his, but also the mother of his child.
Deren: At the door, she stopped suddenly so
he would run into her.
ErcVortan: which he knowingly did
ErcVortan: enjoying the brief encounter
Deren: She snatched up his arms and wrapped
them around her before starting them out the doors and for the parking attendant
for their speeder.
ErcVortan: Erc gave them credit, the Speeder was in front, idling
faster then he would have thought, but not fast enough for his mood.
Deren: And of course they hopped in, revved
up, and sped away for quite the afternoon of....aerobics.
