Hobbie got to his feet and held a hand to Feni.
She slipped her fingers into his and pulled herself up.
He smiled and led her back to the boat, once there, he grabbed her waist and lifted her up so she could easily get in, before climbing up after her.
Once he was standing more firmly on the boat, she wrapped her hand around the back of his neck, pulling his lips to hers for a quick, but empassioned kiss.
He rested a hand on her back as he kissed her, willingly giving as well as he got. He pulled away breathlessly and smiled at her.
Grinning a level of brightness and joy that had been too long absent from the usually cheerful mechanic, Fen's hand slid down his arms to take his hands. "Alright, where are these sandwhiches?"
He nodded to one of the seats, and moved to lift the seat to reveal a built in cooler.
Getting quite comfy on the seat, sitting cross legged, she watched her speedoed companion. "Alright, so I know about that whole 'Nice Rear Lt' story, buy I've now seen his and yours, and well... I like yours better."
Hobbie said nothing, for he didn't quite know WHAT to say. He turned and gave her a grinder of her own, then got his own, and a few fizzes out before closing the seat again and sitting upon it.
Well, it was just one of those things that she kinda said before really thinking about it. "Thanks. These look really good." She wasn't all that hungry, but she could always finish the rest later.
"They usually are," and so he tucked in.
A few silent bites later, she had to pause just to enjoy the numminess. "These are so good, Hobbie!"
He looked up and smiled, his mouth full so he could not speak.
Leaning back against the railing, she let the breeze catch her hair, starting the drying process as she enjoyed the day and idly munched on her grinder.
As he ate, he watched her. The way the breeze caught strands of hair, blowing them about seductively in the wind. He couldn't help but sigh a happy sigh.
That gentle sigh drew her eyes to him, a curious smile on her face. "Credit for your thoughts?"
         He shrugged, and smiled.
"Sounds nice," she winked and took another small bite.
He chuckled, and finished up quickly before sitting back with his fizz to regard her.
Finishing about half of her sandwhich, she wrapped it back up and set it aside for later, moving to nurse her fizz.
He let the silence drag on as he watched her. He couldn't tire of it, he believed.
She lost track of the minutes that she knew he was watching her. A few times it brought a blush to her face, though it would fade eventually. Finally though, "Do I have mustard on my face or something?"
He shook his head, "No, no you don't."
Hobbie smiled at Feni, "Just looking."
"Oh, that's alright then. You may proceed." She lifted her chin a bit as if posing for a portrait, schooling her face to impassivity.
He chuckled and set down his fizz, moving to sit beside her. "Alright, t hen."
In a fluid movement, she unfolded her legs and swung them over Hobbie's lap. "Nice of you to join me."
He rested one hand down to run along her smoothe fine gams. "Nice of you to allow me," he chuckled, resting another arm about her shoulders.
"Allow?" Her brows flicked upward. "And here I thought I was being priviledged with your company away from base for a day."
"I guess it depends on the point of view, Fen."
"I can accept that." She traced the lines of his chin, her fingers dancing gently over his skin adoringly.
He gathered her closer, moving her so she sat in his lap while he rested his arms about her, "you know what, Fen?"
         "What?"
"I could stay like this forever... well, if it weren't for the fact that we'd probably starve."
"We have the other half of my grinder. That could last us at least until midnight tonight, right?" The innocent hope in her face brightened a bit with the wide smile in her eyes.
He chuckled and as an answer dipped his head down to kiss her.
What was their kiss count up to? Or had it been long enough that she'd lost track? Her arms draped gently over his shoulders, her fingers linking behind his neck as she returned the kiss.
One hand rested on her thigh as he moved his mouth over hers to deepen their kiss lovingly.
A pick up in the breeze pushed whispy tendrils of hair against their faces, though there was hardly room between, and prickled gooseflesh up on her arms and legs. Hobbie's embrace around her warmed her almost immediately in counter
to the breeze, only melting her more against him.
He didn't break their kiss, perse - though he did trail small kisses along her cheekbone to her ear, which he nibbled lightly.
Elliciting more shivers to run down her spine, tightening her arms around him.
He held her more tightly with one hand, while the one on her thigh began to brush it gently. Then he finally pulled away and looked her in the eye.
"Oh gods, Fen - if I don't stop...." he let the thought hang, his eyes speaking the words he would not.
Her eyes seemed a bit darker, though not by too much. She nodded slowly, unlocking her arms from around his neck to brush a few fingers over his lips. "I understand."
He smiled in his sad way, and sighed as he hugged her closely. "I love you," he whispered into her hair. "That's why."
The way he held her, his breath on her neck through her damp hair, the depth in his voice, all of it brought tears to her eyes as he hugged her, holding her so tight. "I love you too, Hobbs."
He said nothing in response, simply nuzzling into her neck and resting with her comfourtable in his arms.
She squeezed him tighter a moment, letting the tears subside without falling. "Heaven," she whispered very softly.
"Hm?" he questioned wordlessly, not moving.
"Heaven," she repeated clearer this time.
"What about it," he pulled away just enough to look at her questioningly.
"I've found it," she gazed adoringly into his eyes, forgetting about everything else that had ever plagued her mind.
He smiled sadly, raising a hand and brushing her cheek with his thumb. "I'm glad," he said softly.
She nuzzled her cheek against his hand, her eyes drifting closed with the gentle hint of a smile curling her lips.
He just gazed adoringly at her.
She sighed softly before opening her eyes to meet Hobbie's.
He smiled softly, his eyes gazing into her own.
"Ok, I'm going to try this again. Credit for your thoughts?"
"Just thinking about how wonderful you are, and how lucky I am right now, this moment."
Her smile widened a bit before she pressed a kiss to his chin. "See, I told you no one only ever has bad luck."
He bit back the response that came readily to mind.
         "Sure, Fen."
Her hand cupped his cheek as she looked very firmly into his eyes. "Hobbie, I want you to remember something for me, alright?"
        "What's that?"
"I love you and I won't let a thing happen to me while I'm with you. Nothing is going to happen to me. I swear it."
"I," am afraid to, "Hope so. Yes," he smiled halfheartedly.
