Threepio: The door buzz to the Solo residence
chimed, and Threepio went to allow the guests entrance. "Hello, I am C-3PO.
Have you come to visit the Solos?"
Wes Janson: Wes nodded to the droid. He didn't know, except
through Han and Luke's stories, about how annoying the droid could be.
"Your mistress said that Mister Durron brought my sister here."
Threepio: "Oh yes, Master Kyp. He has been
living here for a few weeks now. Shall I announce you?" C3po stepped back
so they could enter.
Han Solo: Han passed through the room on his
way to the kitchen. "He's in the medroom - third door on the left. Go on
back."
Threepio: "But Master Solo-"
Han Solo: "Can it, Goldenrod."
Wes Janson: "Thanks Han," Wes stated, and took off running
to the medroom. He skidded to a halt outside of it and blinked at what he
saw.
Kyp Durron: Siee floated in the bacta tank, and
beneath it Kyp was seated on the floor, his head resting against it, and
his chin atop the head of a four year old little girl huddled in his lap.
They were both fallen asleep.
Wes Janson:: Wes walked in
quietly, as not to disturb the sleeping couple. He looked up at his sister
in the tank, seeing the burn marks fading from his skin. *What's happening
to you, Siee?*
Kyp Durron: Kyp stirred, careful not to awaken
the sleeping child, and looked up at Wes. "You're here," he said simply.
Fenig Durak: Fen smiled meekly to Han,
'How bad was she when when Kyp brought her in?'
Han Solo: "Unconscious, burned up some." He
stopped and leaned in the doorway to regard her. "She should be okay, though."
Wes Janson: "What happened?" Wes asked. Part of him wanted
to pound Kyp into the ground because of what happened, but Wes had been
on the other end of Siee's recent anger abilities, so for now he would settle
for an icy edge in his voice.
Kyp Durron: Wes deserved to know, Siee *was* his
sister, after all. "The spirit of a Sith is residing in the depths of imperial
centre. He wants to take her over. Last night I was able to chase him away, but early
this morning he returned in Force. Siee was caught in the middle. That's
why I didn't take her to the hospital. I want her as far away from that Shadow
as I can get her." He paused. "I want to send her to Yavin." Kyp's voice was calm, resolute.
Wes Janson: "I don't understand." Wes turned to look at
Kyp. "The Force doesn't run in my family. How is this happening?"
Kyp Durron: "I don't know. But it didn't run in
my family, either." He paused,
"I have a theory, though...."
Wes Janson: "that is?"
Fenig Durak: Fenig nodded, holding back
a heavy sigh. ' How long has she been in there?'
Han Solo: "She had only just been put in when
Leia commed Wes, so probably only about an hour or so."
Kyp Durron: "That she always had a low-running
affinity to the Force, something that most beings have but never fully realise.
When she was tortured, she unconsciously drew on the Force for strength.
That's when her true talent started
to awaken. That's my theory."
Wes Janson: Wes shook his head. "She never asked for this.
I should have never brought her here from Taanab. She'd have been much
safer there."
Kyp Durron: Kyp shrugged, readjusting the sleeping
Jaina in his arms. "Perhaps, but one thing I've learned over the past few
years, is you can't change the past. That,
and when you do something and believe it's right, it is at the time, but
the future tells whether it truly is right in the long run. That's the
hard part - reading the future."
Fenig Durak: 'Thanks for helpin' her out,
Han. It means a lot to me and I know it means a lot to Wes.'
Han Solo: "Hey," he held his hands out to either
side. "It's me. I have a habit of picking up strays." He was referring to Chewie,
Luke, Leia, and Kyp.
Fenig Durak: She laughed softly and nodded,
'Strays and Princesses, hmm? I owe you for this, Han. Anything
you ever need, let me know.'
Han Solo: "You've been looking out for Kyp.
That's good enough for me," he nodded to her then disappeared into the kitchen
to find some food.
Fenig Durak: Fenig took that chance to
slip into the med bay with Wes and Kyp, leaning her shoulder on the
door way.
Wes Janson: "Sometimes you have to wonder... what would
have happened if I hadn't joined the rebellion."
Kyp Durron: "A lot of people who's lives you've
saved would be dead... and more who don't deserve to live would be doing
so." Kyp shrugged.
Fenig Durak: That made Fenig brush a hand
over her tummy, an absentminded motion from a distracted
mind.
Wes Janson: "Lately I keep thinking I should have just
stayed home." He didn't know Fenni was standing behind him.
Fenig Durakc: She looked down at the sweet
little girl sleeping on Kyp's lap and smiled. Obviously lil Jaina. How adorable kids can
be.... gah! Fen! Think about somehting else!
Kyp Durron: "I often think I should have stayed
on Kessel.... but then I'm reminded of the few differences for *good* that
I've made.... Most recent,
trying to protect Siee." He looked down at Jaina in his lap, "Being accepted
into a family...." he finished quietly. He raised his voice some again, and continued. "However,
I can't help but wonder if they are a small recompense for the horrible
things I did." He shrugged, "Or may have yet to do. kinda like Fate."
Wes Janson: Wes looked Kyp in the eye. "What do you mean
by 'yet to do'?"
Kyp Durron: He shrugged again.
Wes Janson: hand to Kyp. "If you think this is best, then
I'll agree."
Kyp Durron: Kyp reached around the sleeping Jaina,
trying not to disturb her. "Good. As soon as she gets out, help me convince
her to go to Yavin." He looked past Wes and smiled slightly,
"Hello Fenig."
Fenig Durak: Now that her cover was blown,
she stepped forward and squatted next to him to brush Jaina's
bangs from her face. 'Want me to take her so you two can talk?'
Wes Janson: Wes bit his lip, having a feeling that Fenni
had overheard them. He looked back up at his sister.
Kyp Durron: "Only if you want to. She's fast
asleep, but she's also a pretty light sleeper...."
Fenig Durak: 'I'll be careful.' She slipped
her arms very gently around the little girl and stood carefully,
being as gentle as she could. And somehow, she managed
Wes Janson: "How much longer would you say she has?"
Kyp Durron: "How long is up to her, I'm leaving
her in there until she wakes up. There are no sedatives in that tank right
now."
Wes Janson: Wes nodded. "Then I guess we sit here and
wait."
Kyp Durron: In response, Kyp simply leaned his
head against the bacta tank, looking up at it and watching Siee float lifelessly
in the healing biofluid.
Fenig Durak: Fenig carried Jaina with soft
steps, glancing briefly in the kitchen for room directions
from Han. He pointed her to Jaina's room so that is where Fenig carried
her.
Wes Janson: Wes looked at the Jedi as he watched Siee and
kept from chuckling. It reminded him of a young woman watching a Jagged
Fel about a year or so back. Jagged had now
gone off on his own ways. And now it was the girl in the tank, and a friend
who didn't realize that his mind and heart were on different pages.
