Wes - Ali | Feni - Leah
Wes Janson: Wes walked back
towards his apartment in thought. There was really something wrong here...
Hobbie was more dour, more than ever.
Fenig Durak: ::Fenig would agree with that, her
footfalls soft at Wes' side. She'd been concerned about Hobbie for the
last few months, though it had subsided momentarilly because of that lum
fight::
Wes Janson: They reached the apartment in silence. "Want
to come in for a drink?" he asked.
Fenig Durak: ::She nodded absently, her hand slipping
into Wes' to giveit a squeeze. More for her own comfort than for his::
Wes Janson: He palmed the door open and walked in. "Lights"
he stated, and the lights instantly crawled on.
Description: The few paintings and curios that Hobbie
had either brought from home, or collected over the past several years,
were curiously missing. The door to his room was cracked open, and a piece
of flimsy lay on the caf table near the holovid.
Fenig Durak: ::She frowned softly, leaving Wes'
side to explore the half bare room.:: Was Hobbie planning on redecorating?
Wes Janson: "Not that I know of, but he's been quiet lately."
Wes moved around the room and found the flimsy. "What's this?"
Fenig Durak: ::She moved to Wes' side to read over
his shoulder. So to speak anyway::
Hobbie Kllivian: Wes -
I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, or in person, I couldn't bring myself
to. It's a decision I've been pondering for weeks now, and I had made
this decision the day before everything was blown to Kessel. Don't think this has anything to do with what happened
then. I just... it's better this way. I've been thinking about how Wedge
did things, and what made him a good commander, and one of those things
is distancing himself. You're my best friend, practically
my brother - but I think it's best I get out of the way. Besides, you'll
be wanting the extra room soon enough. -Hobbie
Description: ::Scribbled beneath was the address
for the old Rogue Lead quarters, the ones Wedge had on base before marrying
Iella::
Fenig Durak: Oh dear....
Wes Janson: Wes crumbled the flimsy in his hand absently.
Things were just changing way too fast for him and he didn't like it at
all.
Fenig Durak: ::She placed a soft hand on Wes' shoulder
in question and comfort::
Wes Janson: He shrugged it off and walked into the kitchen,
looking for something to drink. "What do you want to drink?"
Fenig Durak: ::SHe watched him painfully, her forehead
wrinkling in concern. She knew this was hitting him harder than he was
showing:: Juice or water is fine
Wes Janson: He pulled out two fizzes and set them on the
breakfast bar. He then hunted in the fridge for something to nibble on.
"Hungry?"
Fenig Durak: Got any fruit? ::She sank into the
deep padding on the couch, pulling her feet up under her::
Description: Wes wasn't
very companionable that night, but Feni didn't want to leave him alone,
so she took up residence in Wes' room, while Wes took the vacant room that
was once Hobbie Klivians.

Kyp was a *very*
light sleeper, and had taken up residence on the floor beside Siee's bed.
He slept with no pillow, and had also refused the blanket offered him.
His lightsaber was unclipped, though he slept with the weapon in his
hand.
Siee tossed and turned in
her sleep, curled up in a tiny ball. Finally her mind clicked on what was
upsetting her... a full bladder. She groggily got up and stepped out of
bed. She took a step towards the bathroom, then promptly fell over a large
lump on the rug.
Kyp rolled out from
beneath her and sprang to his feet, lightsabre ignighted in his hands
before he was fully awake. "Wha?"
The bright violet blade's
light made her squint her eyes in pain. "Hey!"
His eyes adjusted,
and when he saw no immediate threat in the room, he flicked it off and
clipped it to his belt. "Sorry." He moved forward and reached down a
hand to help her up.
She took his hand and stood
up, blinking the bright spot out of her vision. "So do you always pull
your saber out when a girl falls for you?" she joked.
He looked lightly
confused, "Just when I'm rudely awoken..."
She shook her head. "Nevermind..."
her mind remembered why she was awake. "I'll... be right back." she stumbled
off to the fresher.
He shrugged and stalked
around the room, stretching stiff muscles before he would to back to sleep.
A few minutes later, Siee,
looking more like the bride of frankenstine, came out of the fresher and
yawned. "What time is it?"
He looked at the
glaring Chrono beside her bed. "0440."
She groaned and flopped back
down on her bed. "I'm so not going to fall back asleep again."
"Do you want to?"
She stretched her body out
in the bed, her bones popping as they went back into place. "Not really.
Less nightmares that way."
He nodded, "Your
choice." He moved to sit on the floor at the foot of her bed, leaning his
back up against it.
Siee smiled, an idea forming
in her head. She hadn't done this in a long time. She carefully turned
around in her bed, a pillow in her hand so that her head rested above Kyp's.
"Hey Kyp..."
"Hmm?"
She sat up quickly and wapped
him over the head with her pillow. "Tag, you're it!"
He jumped up quickly
and looked at her, uncomprehending. "Huh?" He desperately tried to search
his memory of his childhood for a purpose to this, but he just couldn't
quite think back that far.
"You never had a pillow fight
with your brother?" she asked, her eyes a bit sad.
"I can't remember
that far back... I don't know." He shrugged, looking lost.
"It's easy." She tossed
him another pillow. "We hit each other with the pillows until one or the
other gives up."
"Why?"
"Because it's fun." she shrugged.
"Come on, try it."
He looked at the pillow he
cought, then at her. Then he shrugged. Okay." He moved forward and whacked
her experimentally.
She smiled. "Is that all
you got?" she teased and hit him again.
He rubbed at his
head where she'd hit him. "Why is this fun, again?"
"Would you ever see an enemy use a pillow
as an effective weapon?"
He regarded the pillow,
"Well, one could use it as a distraction, throwing it in the face to blind...."
She hit him again. "While you think,
I'll just keep hitting you." she laughed gently.
"I'm not just going
to sit here and let you beat on me," he frowned and began earnestly parrying
her attacks, but not hitting her with his own pillow. He was intensely
trying to understand.
She grinned and changed her
attack pattern, hitting low and high, parrying and doing quick blow exchanges.
She started to laugh.
His confusion only
grew. How was this supposed to be fun? Was it supposed to be like sparring
or something? In stead of laughing, he just started looking more intense
as he tried to decipher and evade her attack pattern without using the
Force for help
Seeing that he wasn't into
the "playful" mode of the game, she swept his leg in fustration, then pinned
him to the ground, holding her pillow high. "Got ya."
"So, you're going
to smother me with that thing, or get off?" he asked. "I'm having trouble
breathing here."
She sat on his chest. "Man,
when did you lose your inner child?"
"Probably when the
Empire stole Zeth, killed my parents, and left me to rot," he said bitterly.
She sighed. "Kyp.. i know
it's hard, but you have to get your life back. You need to find out what
you want; stop looking at your past and look toward your future. You can't
be dignified and have fun at the same time."
"Okay." He frowned slightly, gazing past her with a look of
concentration. He used the Force to lift her off him and set her on the
bed, then stood, glaring at the floor again.
"Whoa!" she stated as she
flew in mid air. She looked up at Kyp and sighed. "I'm sorry."
He shook his head
and lifted a hand to halt her, still looking intensely at the floor.
"Something wrong?" she looked
at the floor.
"It's restless...."
he murmered to himself. He turned and looked at Siee, "I don't know if
you're safe here."
"What's restless?" She jumped
up. "I don't understand."
He spun and grabbed
her jacket off the chair and tossed it to her. "Come on, I'll explain on
the way."
She reached into her bedside drawer
and grabbed a bag that contained her comlink and a holdout blaster and
blade. She then grabbed her boots and put them on. "Do I have time to
call Wes and let him know what's happening?"
"You can use my commlink,
we're going to the Solo's."
"You mean... the cheif of
state's place? I... I'm not dressed right!"
"When we get there
you can give me a list of what you need and I'll come back for it. But
we need to leave this building." He grabbed her hand as she grabbed her
bag and pulled her to the door.
She followed, then stopped
suddenly. "Ow..." she said, holding her head.
"NOW!" He picked
her up, throwing her over his shoulder; using the Force to lend speed to
his feet and strength to his back as he ran from her quarters down the halls
of the building.
"Put her down," a deep voice
came from Siee's mouth.
"Damn Sith. No thanks,
I'm not so good at following orders." He tightened his hold on the girl
draped over his shoulder and put on an extra burst of speed.
"NOW, JEDI!" an electrical storm came
from Siee's hands, and they pressed against his lower back.
He groaned at the
impact, stumbling to fall and drop Siee before he could toss up a shield.
"No, I won't let you take over her like He took over me!" He moved forward
and picked her up again, this time cradling her and with one hand holding
hers together.
As they got out to the edge
of the influence, Siee's eyes rolled to the back of her head. "Move her
further and I will kill her, Jedi." the deep voice radiated from what was
normally a high pitched playful voice.
He stopped moving,
but did not put her down. "What do you want with her?"
"She is pure. Unrealized
powers. She will make me live again and I will not lose her to a love-starved
pup."
"I'll make a deal
with you."
"I do not deal with Jedi."
"I'm not a Jedi,
I'm a re-educated Sith. I know your ways, and if you truly want a powerful
body, mine's the most powerful in this Damn Galaxy." take the bait, I came back once before,
I can do it again....
"Yours is unpure, Jedi. She is clean. Why would I want a
control when i can have raw."
As an answer, Kyp
let down his mental damping shields, letting his presence in the Force be
shown un-impeded. "You sure about that? She doesn't want this, I do. In
fact, I wish I hadn't turned back. I want to be the most powerful Sith Lord
ever, with our power combined we could take over the Galaxy."
A deep laugh came from her
throat. "You do not think I believe you. I heard all that you told her.
I know you, Kyp Durron. And I know your powers."
"Then you know I'm
a Liar. You know I'm a man who'll say whatever
he needs to to get what he wants." Kyp nearly growled, "I wanted to take your influence
from her for myself. How better than to get her to give it up willingly?"
"You want this girl, don't
you?" a teasing voice came out, and Siee's hand moved lifelessly to Kyp's
face. "You care for her."
"I care for no one
but myself."
"Ah, you are a liar." The
laugh. "Your body tells different, it just doesn't talk to your mind.
You do not know that you want her."
"You're a fool."
"If you did not want her,
then why do you care so much for her? Why would you sacrifice your life
for hers?" the voice changed to a hiss. "I can make it possible, boy. I
can make her love you. I have control of her emotions. I can make her love
you and create a child of mass power that will bring the galaxy to his knees."
DarkSide lightning
played around his hands as he dropped Siee's body unceremoniously to the
floor. "I don't need love, and it's no sacrifice.
I have nothing to lose, and EVERYTHING to gain. It makes me the perfect
vessel. She has plenty to lose, she'll fight
you every inch of the way. That's no control."
Siee stood up, her eyes opening
to show red, not the playful ones she had a few moments back. "That makes
you weak." She held her hand out and kyp's lightsaber sprang to her hands.
Great, time to
fight without hurting her.... Damn. He opened himself up to the Force, both the Dark
side and the Light. "No. That's what makes me powerful." Force lightning
sprang from his fingertips.
The lightsaber ignited and
Siee moved to a stance that only the most trained of force users could
have. "Come at me, child. Let's see what you can do."
"You can only bring
half the Force to your command... I can bring *ALL* of it," Kyp glowered
dangerously, his lips curving into an evil smile.
"Fool. You are still a child.
There are no sides, there is only one!" "Siee stepped forward, swinging
the lightsaber straight at Kyp's shoulders.
He did not move,
did not duck, but up sprang a shield at the point of impact, pushing the
blade away from him as he shot his hand out and lightning leapt from his
fingertips toward Siee's body.
"AH!" the cry that came was
of Siee.
"DAMNIT!" Now all
he could do, was hope she'd forgive him. He poured strength into that
burst of lightning, attempting to shut off her ability to move. Darkness and light swirled about them,
shutting off view of the combatants from any who would enter the early morning
corridor.
Her scream intesified, and
a laughing noise came from the hallways. "Kill her then. When her body
is gone, I will still be here. And I will find another one, and another."
He stopped suddenly,
and turned then. His lightsabre sprang into his hand and he stood defiantly.
"I told you, take me. I want this, I want this so badly I'm willing to
fight you to get it." Lightning crackled about him.
"You don't want it," the voice came
from Siee again. "But I will watch you from now on. Take the girl, fix
her up and make her body suitable for me."
"Maybe I don't
want it after all. Exar Kun was much more powerful and his defeat was simply
executed."
"Exar Kun was a fool. And
if I read your memories right, it took twelve Jedi to defeat him. You
really think that you can do the job of 12 jedi?"
"I know I can." He stood straight, proudly. "Those twelve Jedi combined
barely equal my power."
"Ego. Shame you did not
live during the Old Republic years. You would have served greatly beside
Palpatine."
"I would have succeeded
him." He paused.
"Correction. I *will* succeed him."
"We shall see." With that,
Siee's body dropped uncerimouniously to the floor, the presence gone.
He picked her up again
and started walking to the Solo's place. He still believed she would be
safer there... and he also knew that if he was going to get this Sith away
from her, he would have to make good on his threats. "Force forgive me,"
he muttered to himself.
Siee groaned. "Where am I?"
she asked, her eyes only opening in slits.
He looked down in her
face, noting that it was Siee looking back this time. "On your way to the
Solo's residence."
"Why do I hurt all over?" she tried
to move her arm and winced in pain.
"You've been electrocuted.
The Solo's have a bacta tank in their apartment." He didn't offer any
more information than that.
She leaned her head against
Kyp's shoulder and whimpered. "What's happening to me, kyp?"
"You don't want to
know."
Her arms tightened around his
neck and she tried not to cry. "I'm scared, kyp."
"You're going to be
fine." He walked along, leaving the building and a few curious looks behind
as he entered the walkways. "He won't want you for much longer."
His voice was emotionless, monotone
like that of one who's on a mission.
"I keep hearing voices in my head, and
pain... soo much pain."
"What does the voice
say?"
She sighed as her head nestled
in the crook of his neck. "It goes so fast... but I think it wants me
to kill someone."
"Do you hear who?"
Is it Skywalker? Is
it me?
"I can't tell." she hugged
him closer. "Why does he want me? I'm not special."
"You're Pure... untrained.
He thinks complete control of raw ability will allow him to live again.
He doesn't realise that a willing pawn will be much more easily controlled,
as well as provide extra power." He looked at her, "Fight that voice all
you can, Miss Janson. Leave the rest to me."
"I trust you, Kyp." She held
him close. "Please help me."
"Hn," he nodded, saying
nothing more.
Just before they reached
the Solo's residence, he cleared his throat and looked down to speak to
her. He shook his head with a sigh when he saw she'd either passed
out, or fallen asleep, as he carried her to the Solo's residence.
Kyp reached with the Force to press in the door panel, and entered the
apartment, heading to the room they kept the medical things in, including
a bacta tank. It was very early. Too early for anyone in their
right mind to be awake. Of course, with the people who lived in that
place, it was likely at least one of them was awake at the sound of the front
door.
Kyp quickly made his way to the back room, but a figure soon stood in
his way. It was Han. "What's going on, Kid? You comm me
and tell me you're not coming back tonight, and then you show up at a Force-awful
hour with an unconscious girl in your arms?"
"It's a long story, and I have to get her into bacta..."
"Why didn't you take her to the hospital?" Leia spoke, having woken
up as well as she looked at him warily. "Well?"
"It isn't safe for her to be there. Please..." he looked at Han.
He stepped aside and let Kyp past. Kyp carried Siee into the back
room, and lay her down on a small cot while he went to turn on the bacta-tank.
"Who is she?"
"A friend," Kyp answered.
"Right."
Kyp said nothing as he took her shirt and sleeping pants off, leaving
her in her underclothes, then used the Force to lift her up into the tank
as he attatched the breathing mask to her face.
Once she was safely, and unconsciously, floating her way to healing, Leia
and Han confronted the young Jedi. "Alright, kid, now tell us what's
going on," Han looked at him seriously.
"It's a long story, but the short version involves the dark side and a
long dead sith lord."
Leia's eyes widened, "I think you'll need to be telling us a bit more
than that, Kyp."
"Uhm.... there's a focus of dark side power beneath the starfighter barracks...
it wants Siee, cause she's untrained and only just now finding out about
her abilities. Tonight he tried to take her."
"You said her name is Siee, what's her last name?" Han asked. "Does
she have any family on Coruscant?"
Kyp grimaced. "Siee Janson... she's Wes Janson's little sister."
Leia frowned, "Does he know she's here?"
Kyp shook his head.
"I'm calling him."
As Leia left, Kyp made to go after her to stop her, but Han stopped him.
"Listen, Kid. You gotta take responsibility for your actions.
I'm sure you've got good reasons for doing what you're doing, but he's
gotta know she's here."
Kyp sighed, and settled onto the floor beside the bacta tank to keep watch,
both with his eyes and through the Force. "I"m so dead."
"Well, better to be dead here, than in some alleyway, Kid." Han
said with a lopsided, knowing, grin as he left the room.
Kyp looked up at where Siee floated, then back down at his hands, gripping
them and letting lightning dance briefly before disappearing. "I'll
take that Dark Lord's power..." and then I'll destroy him with it.
