Myn Donos was a sniper in the Corellian armed forces as part of an elite counterinsurgency unit. He was quite good at it and was decorated on Corellia for conspicuous gallantry entitling him to wear the Corellian Bloodstripes. But slowly what he did began to eat at him; how unfair it was to his targets. They had never had a chance to defend themselves from his attack. Proving he had the reflexes and comprehension to become a pilot, he enlisted in the New Republic's Starfigher Command. He rose quickly through the ranks, earning his lieutenancy within a year and being granted the temporary rank of brevet-Captain soon after. But as squadron leader of the X-wing Talon Squadron, Myn led his group into an ambush at Gravan Seven. It was a trap planted by Imperial agents under the command of Admiral Apwar Trigit. All of his pilots were killed.
After an investigation in which he was found innocent of any wrong-doing, Donos was interviewed by Wedge Antilles, who was forming a new X-wing squadron built around commando talents versus piloting skill. Myn's background as a sniper made him an ideal candidate. While he made the cut, Myn was aloof and distant early on with the unit. The only time he showed any real emotion was when an empion mine incapacitated his R2 unit Shiner, in Myn's mind the only other survivor from Talon. Then he was irrational until the little droid was reactivated. But Shiner was destroyed in the pirate attack at System M2398 and Myn became so distant as to be near-comatose. It wasn't until fellow Wraiths Falynn Sandskimmer, Tyria Sarkin, Kell Tainer and Face Loran reenacted the attack that destroyed Talon Squadron that Myn finally was able to release all of his anger and frustration.. Burned out, he finally began to mourn the loss of Talon Squadron but also decided to honor them by living his life. He and Falynn began to grow closer after that breakthrough but Falynn was killed soon after in the battle over Ession. Myn found a measure of revenge for both Falynn and Talon Squadron when he shot down Admiral Trigit, in that same battle, escaping in an Imperial shuttle.
Myn moved on and soon he found himself attracted to another Wraith pilot, Lara Notsil. He had accompanied Lara to her home planet and saved her from an Imperial trap arranged by her "brother". Later he approached Lara, revealed his feelings, and while she was resistant at first, the two found themselves enjoying one another's company. But Lara was revealed to be none other than Gara Petothel, the Imperial agent who had sliced the misinformation that led to the death of Talon Squadron. Myn turned his X-wing on her but instead ended up firing on Face Loran, the Wraith's commanding officer. Lara escaped and Myn was found unfit to fly. With help from Wedge Antilles and Wes Janson, Myn began to realize why he was having so many problems mentally and emotionally. He volunteered to fly as a gunner on a mission where he encountered Lara flying for the Warlord Zsinj's forces. But she was feeding the Wraiths information and Myn took comfort in order not to fire on her. The information Lara provided allowed General Solo's task force to set up an ambush for Zsinj but it also contained a message explaining her prior actions to Myn. He allowed himself let go of his hate for her and her part in the death of Talon Squadron.
Myn was then reactivated for pilot duties and flew with the Wraiths at Selaggis. There, Iron Fist was stopped and Zsinj was sent running. Word came down after that Wraith Squadron was transferring from Starfighter Command to the New Republic Intelligence division. Most of the pilots went with it but Myn transferred to Rogue Squadron instead. He also received a message form a woman who sounded like Lara Notsil but was calling herself Kirney Slane. She was on Corellia, his home planet, starting a shuttle service and if Myn wanted to see her, she would wait for him.
