Comes from the Southeastern Mountains of Ralltiir, also called the Essey mountains.
When she was the tender age of eight, she saw her best friend hit by lightning. The young girl died before she could be gotten to a medical centre. Amanda couldn't help but think that if she knew what to do, maybe she could have saved her life, and so at that moment she decided to be a doctor; and that she would never let anyone or anything hurt her friends again.
In high school she was involved with various theatre groups, learning to love the art and play the part of almost anything. She also learned a love for music (and singing), and performed musical theatre as well as ballet.
She graduated highschool at fourteen, and went straight to medical school in the Surgeons Academy at the Univeristy of Rudrig, doubling up on courses and going year-round. Immediately after graduation, she joined the Rebel Alliance against the Empire that had torn her homeworld. This was somewhere between Hoth and Endor. She was stationed on the same medical frigate as one, Ton Phanan.
During the Battle of Endor (Age 19), she often glanced out the viewport and wished that she could be out there making a difference in the tide of things, rather than cleaning up after them.
The medical frigate received heavy bombardment, and Ton was in his crushing accident which resulted in half his face becoming a metal prosthesis. Amanda helped the other, more experienced, surgeons to save his life.
She joined with the starfighters, offering her services as a flight, and chief flight surgeon (CFS) in various x-wing squadrons. This lasted from Endor until almost three years later.
She caught Intel's eye quickly, and they took her away from starfighters to help with infiltration of Coruscant. Her cover was a student at the Imperial School of Combat Psychology. Being under deep cover, she never did meet the Rogues when Coruscant fell.
Her relationship toward General Cracken is one of no-love-lost. Her unconventional ways of finding information were highly effective, and she would go against direct orders occasionally, doing what she wanted to anyway, to find what she needed.
She had spunk, and refused to back down whenever she thought something was right, this gained her an uneasy respect from Cracken, but hasn't helped her with working under authority any.
Until recently, was a psychologist for starfighter command, dealing with post traumatic stress syndromes, and combat psychology.
During the time that Wes Janson spent under her care, she fell for Hobbie Klivian, and went out with him a few times, before his being sent on a secret mission. Shortly thereafter, she was called in by Ackbar and returned to CFS rotation, to work with the Rogues and Wraiths. It was during this conversation she first learned of Ton's death.
