What is a "Shadow"? In Pagan religions a "Shadow" is a powerful energy spirit or what many religions/people would call a "daemon", or "angel" to others. "Shadows" are also the souls of people who have died a really horrible death, committed suicide, or tampered with "dark" magick that they shouldn't have. "Shadows" in my religion are seen as negative entities that feed off the negtive emotions of people (Anger, Deceit, Hate, and Lust) and fuel themselves with it to use their dark powers. A shadow is also called a Wraith in my Pagan branch. When in the Astral "Shadows" will try and cling themselves to a projected victim and when that victim awakens in the Prime world the "Shadow" clings itself to the person's sub-conscious mind where it feeds its host debauchery, deceit, hate, and other negative emotions. It is possible in fact to barter with a "Shadow" if you know it's there, but doing so is hard. "Shadows" should be left alone and avoided at all costs. A good thing to do before you use conjuration magick/rituals or project is to protect yourself an make sure you have the right components and things you need. You could be a victim sooner or later!
