Malice with forethought and a methodical blend of demonic dance vibes encompass Videodrone's self-titled debut. Being the next band to release an album on Korn's Elementree label, following the illustrious footsteps of Orgy, Videodrone construct a wicked, manipulating blend of smoothly blended industrial rhythms and dark textures. The first track "Ty Jonathan Down" features Korn's Jonathan Davis in a torturous subtle anthem of understated beats and a grueling textured backdrop. "Faceplant" showcases Videodrone in their single-friendly atmosphere with a chilling chorus and powerfully subtle overtones. Vocalist Ty Elam hovers above the masterfully textured and haunting blend of dark, post-industrial vibes. Videodrone's contribution to Elementree is an album that stands on its own, that challenges sonic and post-industrial standards and creates its own shadowed universe. Although not containing a roster of great songs, the musical textures of Videodrone are worth hearing.
