Question: how do you get the part in the X-files??????

Nick Lea: I auditioned for it. (alissa's note - smart ass! :) )

Question: Have you ever hurt yourself while working on an episode?-AgentGoth

Nick Lea: Yeah, on the last two parter...I was handcuffed for about 3 hours and I no longer have feeling in my right thumb. I get hurt on every episode basically. (awwwwww, poor guy! )

Question: How come in The Red and The Black, Krycek's had two real arms? Shouldn' one have been fake?

Nick Lea: I did have one fake...you weren't watching close enough!

Question: Nick.......Is it hard for you to adapt to your part in the show?

Nick Lea: Hard to adapt...No, it's a treat every time I do it It's not hard, it's fun playing my role.

Question: Do you ever get letters from fans who believe that you only have one arm?

Nick Lea: Never.

Question: Will Krycek play a large role in the upcoming seasons? (NO, of course not!)

Nick Lea: Yes, I hope so It's hard to tell.

Question: In the beginning did you think the show would be this successful?

Nick Lea: I knew that it was going to be a good quality show but you can never really tell if a show is going to be successful or not.

Question: Nick lea, are u working with or against Mulder on the show?

Nick Lea: With I can never tell, it always seems to change.

Question: Mr. Lea, how does it feel to be the guy everyone loves to hate?

Nick Lea: Excellent As long as people like watching me. (ummmm..uh.....no comment....)

Question: Do u think that it would be a good idea for a kid to write an episode, if it was a good episode?

Nick Lea: They only have like 8 or 10 staff writers... But continue to keep writing! Maybe one day they will use one of your episodes! Good luck!

Question: Nic, when you are not acting for "The X-Files" what is your second passion? ( me!!! )

Nick Lea: Travelling and golf. And cooking.

Question: How many EXPOs have you attended before Boston?

Nick Lea: 4 or 5.

Question: Nick- About how many others were in competition for the role of Krycek -Missy

Nick Lea: 25 or 30 They came to Vancouver to audition.

Question: Nic: Do you hold a persoinal grudge against Mulder, for beating you up in almost every ep. you have been in?

Nick Lea: He'll get his...

Question: did they make you cut your hair? it looked good long!

Nick Lea: no that was my choice. I wanted the character to look more severe.

Question: Does Krycek have feelings for Scully?

Nick Lea: Yes, but they are deep and dark.

Question: Lea, What kinds of things do you like to paint and draw? -KrycekzGrl

Nick Lea: People People and places.

Question: Nic, You are a great actor! Not to mention gorgeous! What type of music do you listen to? (no sh*t!!!-gorgeous)

Nick Lea: My taste in music is all accross the board...I listen to everything. As long as it makes me feel something.

Question: What nationality, exactly is the name Krycek? I've heard rumors of it being both Russian and Czech.

Nick Lea: It's actually, Czech, and I think that the root of the name Krycek is rat.

Question: Nic~Do you think your character will ever revert to the "good" side of the force?

Nick Lea: I hope not. I like it somewhere i the middle.

Question: Nic-Do you wear eyeliner? because sometimes it looks like you do.... -AgentGoth

Nick Lea: No, i just have long eyelashes... (long lashes for those beautiful eyes....)

Question: Who do you think the person that Krycek refers to in "The Red And The Black" is, when he claims 'I was sent by a man'? What is Krycek's true identity?

Nick Lea: Welll Manicured Man...

Question: Nic...Did you enjoy the segments in which you were possessed by the alien oil-like creature?

Nick Lea: I enjoy them all but that one was really hard to film. It was a pain in the ass.

Question: Since Beau Monde..have you done any other band work?

Nick Lea: No, but I miss it I want to do a movie about a band.

Question: Do you think your character sees what he is doing as right?

Nick Lea: I don't think he sees it as right He used to think what he was doing was right. Now, he' just trying to get revenge and stay alive And stay on the show.

Question: Is the Marita and Krycek relationship going to last long? Will it be in another episode?

Nick Lea: It's going to last as long as it takes me to get my hands around her throat.

    If he's not in Toronto shooting John Woo's Once a Thief - which returned to Baton-CTV last week after a short break - Nicholas Lea is in Vancouver playing double-agent Alex Krycek on The X-FIles. "Two shows at once is crazy, but I love it," says the Vancouver-born actor. "That's why I got into the business in the first place. And I've been lucky in that I haven't had another job besides acting in the last five years."

    After stints in the Canadian navy and fronting a rock band in Vancouver, Lea, 35, got his first big acting job a regulart on The Commish. "That was where I learned my craft - where to stand, how to do lines, the whole deal," he says. His biggest break came four years back when he tested for X-Files creator Chris Carter. "They auditioned 30 guys in LA, but when they came to Vancouver, I was the only one. I walked out of that audition and cried for joy all the way to my car," he says. (awwww....!!!)

    Since then, Lea has learned just how seriously fans take the show. He was mobbed during a U.K. promotional trip last year. And his duplicitous character has a high profile on the dozens of X-Files web sites."I've never seen anything like it," says Lea, laughing. "There's one site where you can buy pictures of me for five bucks a pop. Can you believe it?"

        us can't stomach XF these days even to catch a glimpse of him...

Uhh... Preference?: "I want him in a bad way -- back on TV that is. In a good show. In a lead role. With two arms. Not kissing his male co-stars."
