Spawn of Recs!

- I am seriously in love with every single part of James Walkswithwind and the Mad Poetess' Domestic Piranha series. It's primarily Spike/Xander, already all couply from the start, with a few other couples (Angel/Gunn/Wesley, for one, which has consequently become my One True Pairing for the show... *grin*) thrown in besides. It's alternately hot, schmoopy and funny as all hell. All these boys are busted up in places but don't let it overwhelm their lives. And the little hints of Spike/Angel make me very happy. And... it's just cute. If you don't mind the twisted domesticity, go read it. You'll feel all warm inside.

- Another happy steady threesome story is Keelywolfe's series From a Goodnight Kiss. Her Wufei is all bristles and pride over still open wounds, just the way I like him, and her determinedly cheerful and disturbingly smart Duo teams up with a Heero who takes no bullshit to cut right through the defenses. And honestly, how can you not like a series that has a story titled 'Boys Who Wear Glasses'?

- Ah, what the hell. I'll continue the theme. JiM's Skinner/Mulder/Krychek pairing has always been my nirvana of domestic threesome. Somehow she manages to make a pairing that is fairly hard to accept completely natural; the boys' rough edges fit together somehow, save for the occasional knick and slice. And she makes me like Skinner, which is a fairly difficult task. That said, her Settling series is my personal choice for comfort slash. There's something soothing in the theme of retreating into the wilderness to lick their woods. The schmoop is there but subtle, and doesn't override all the confusions and jealousies involved in the three of them coming together. Lovely stuff.
