1. All UNDER 16 members must be accompanied by an adult (preferrably the parent/guardian who signed the Parental Consent) to ALL programs and events whether live animals will be present or not. Members UNDER 18 should obtain their parent/guardian's permission before attending.
2. No UNDER 18 member will be asked to purchase anything or donate to any cause except as such requests may be presented on a general basis in the newsletter The Basking Spot or by other means.
3. No SIHS member of any age may buy, sell, or trade animals with any UNDER 18 member without prior approval of the UNDER 18 member's parent/guardian. Although SIHS is not responsible for such transactions, violation of this rule may result in termination of membership.
4. Membership in SIHS is NOT to be taken as parental approval to actually keep reptiles or amphibians. Such decisions are the sole responsibility of the parent/guardian. SIHS is not responsible for any such decisions or for any consequences arising from those decisions.
5. SIHS will terminate the membership of any UNDER 18 member within 14 days of receiving such a request in writing from the UNDER 18 member's parent/guardian. A notice of such termination will be sent.
6. SIHS reserves the right to terminate any UNDER 18 membership at any time for any reason or without reason. A notice of such termination will be sent.
