What I did on my Summer Vacation!

Theresa from Z 88.3 was one of our MCs at the City of Apopka 4th of July extravaganza She was all decked out for the holidays!
My mom, my aunt, and I headed out to the Apopka High School field right after church. We grabbed a great spot and headed out to find the best food...which was really hard 'cause there was a lot of good food! I was able to work my way up to the front so that I could get some good pictures and hear just a little bit better! (I'm such a music junkie!)

To start things off right, R.J. Helton sang the National Anthem.

Then, my new favorite band, Starfield, took the stage!

Here is Jon playing his guitar

And here's Tim singing

This is Shaun...he plays bass

That's Johnny 5 back there on the drums

Tim playing his guitar

3/4 of the band

Unfortunately, being in FL, the weather decided to turn against us. But, thankfully, the coordinators of the festivities thought of everything and had us move inside to the gym and auditorium of the high school. That's when Starfield surprised us with an impromtu concert in the gym.

Playing for the kids

They joined in singing "I Just Wanna Be A Sheep"!

Warren Barfield even joined in the singing!

This little guys wanted to play ball instead of sing

Show us your sheep ears!

Time for the big finish!

I think everyone had a good time!

Next on stage was Andrew Carlton

Eventhough things were running late because of the rain, Warren Barfield was able to put on a great show!
All's Well That Ends Well

When Warren finished playing, we turned around and saw the most amazing sunset that was made even more beautiful by the lingering clouds. (And yes...the quoted lyric was on purpose..)

Last, but certainly not least, Mark Schultz took the stage!

Mark came out and played guitar on Everywhere

Playing the keys

Mark's electric guitarist and backup singer
(Anyone know his name?)

Mark playing the keyboard again

Mark rockin' out!

Playing the keyboard some more

Mark jammin' on the keys

Mark played guitar again on Child of Mine
Lastly, the moment we had all been waiting for...the debut of Mark's video for Letters From War, which has been picked up by the US Army.

After the fireworks, there was time to get some autographs and pictures, so I did just that!

Here's one of me and Warren Barfield!

And this is me and Mark Schultz!

I had to get one last shot of Mark hanging with the fans.

So that's what I did on my "summer vacation". I should have some more pictures soon, including ones with Bob and Larry and LarryBoy. Oh...and one with everyone's favorite host, Cliff Tredway!
