General Summary and Scope

Receive, solicit, manage, initiate, up-sell, and structure a variety of consumer loan requests including first and second mortgage products based on credit policy guidelines.  Requires ability to make judgmental loan decisions and ensure every effort was made to meet our customers needs.  Make sound credit decisions while focusing on credit quality and maintaining superior customer service skills when dealing with external and internal customers.  Provide customers with information regarding other products and services.  Increase portfolio growth and profitability through superior cross-functional sales ability.  Strong focus on teamwork to meet departmental goals.

 

Responsibilities

Receive, manage, initiate, and structure customer requests for products and services through Inbound and Outbound originations. Present features and benefits of suggested product solutions including terms, conditions and interest rate.  Cross-sell and up-sell loan requests.  Acknowledge and clarify customer needs; attain customer commitment.  Communicate conditional loan decisions in a timely manner.

Underwrite loan applications based on credit policy guidelines with main focus on quality.  Assist customers with inquiry questions such as collateral values, interest rates, and pending loan status.

Attend training sessions, weekly meetings.  Set and track weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals.

Education

High School degree required.  College degree preferred with an emphasis on general Business related courses.

 

Experience

Prior sales experience required.  Experience in equity loan origination preferred.  Previous experience in a fast paced production environment required.

 

Skills/Knowledge

PC Skills required; strong oral and written communication; excellent telephone communication skills; ability to work in a high production and structured environment; team player; strong customer service and negotiation skills; math aptitude.
