SIMON
He was a former Zealot, a Jewish patriotic party started to resist Roman aggression, a very violent, fanatical group.
He preached the Gospel in Egypt, Mauritanaia, Africa, Libya, and Britain. There are two accounts of his death: 1) he was crucified
in Britain in AD 74, and 2) he was killed with a halberd alongside of Thaddaeus in Persia. One account states that he was killed for refusing to sacrifice to the sun god.
