When We're Under The Cross?

How do you think we should act, when we find ourselve under the cross? In this devotional maybe we can learn how to go to God in times of trouble. In writing the book of James, he is trying to urge us to stand on our faith daily.

James 1: 1-12
James a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God,who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will recieve anything from the Lord;he is a double minded man,unstable in all he does. The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position. But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower. For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant: its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will fade away even while he goes about business.

***Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will recieve the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

We have been taught to joy in our troubles.In doing this we can obtain patience.Instead of always praying for the trouble to be removed, we need to start praying for wisdom to sucessfully make it through that trouble. The word of God says to any that ask it is given. We need to keep our minds focused on spiritual and eternal things, we can grow stronger during that trouble in our life. We can learn to rise above the troubles that come our way. Wordly wealth passes away.....but we can grow rich in the grace of God, which will also make us humble when troubles come our way.We always need to seek our happiness from God.A tried christain will recieve a crown. Those will recieve the crown of life for they have the love of God in their hearts even during troubled times.

How should we act, when were under the cross? In our troubles we need to have patience and trust totally in God.
