Sometimes its very easy to get caught up in the trap of judging others. Seems their faults can be pointed out quickly, and then you can start believing that you stand better than them. Let's face a fact friends, there are people that are worse off than we are, but in no way are we better than them. It might be wise to sweep our own door steps off before we get caught up in trying to sweep someone elses. Finding others faults sometimes becomes entertaining to some.
Do you find yourself of being critical of others to try to make yourself feel more important, or to you find yourself accussing someone while ignoring your own faults.
What is our attitude toward someone who might have made a mistake or maybe they fell out of the range that you think it acceptable? Are you that Christain that is understanding, compassionate and forgiving? Or do you stand and judge and critizize? Are You Caught throwing Rocks? Think about it, how do you respond.......
The bible tells us that Jewish leaders brought a woman to Jesus who had been caught in the act of adultery. Now Jesus knew that they were being evil, so he used this to point out to them their hypocrisy and arrogance. Jesus challenged them to search their own conscience, when He said to them Let those who have never sinned throw the first stones! That crowd thinned real quick, one by one the men left without any further accusations.
This would try to show us that Jesus wants us to consider our own faults before we judge others. I am not saying we should condone the bad behavior of someone else, but we need to check ourselfes out.
Maybe Jesus wants you today to check your life out, right now. What kind of actions and thoughts do you have? Do you get a kick out of throwning rocks at others? If we all, will stop and evaluate our own life, in the way that God wants, we won't be so quick to throw rocks at others.......
