Serving God, A Life Long Journey

Many of us learned about serving God in sunday school. We were taught the Ten Commandments and how to love others. As we look around in our everyday life today, we see that maybe some that were taught these things let it end in sunday school.

Serving God can't end in sunday school, for serving God is a lifelong journey. Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice and ye shall serve him and cleave unto him. (deuteronomy 13:4)

We have got to walk with God daily in order to serve him and hear from him. No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other or else he will hold to one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (Matthew 6:24) We can't live like the world -and serve God.We need to sell out completely and walk with Him.

God told us in the word that if we would serve Him that He would bless us. And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water: and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their younge nor be barren, in thy land:the number of thy days I will fulfil (Exodus 23:25-26)

We all need to set our minds on a coarse to become more dedicated to God.If you can find time for other things in life, then you need to find time to spend with God. Don't let excuses, or problems you may be going thru or just a plain old busy day, make you put your time with God on hold. Serving God is a life long journey. We learn from God's word everyday. Get hungry for the word and apply to your life. Skip something else in your schedule-before you skip prayer and the bible.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name. Psalm 100: 1,2,4
