Let's Face Some Reality

Legal Drugs in our society are running freely.
  • 10-15 million alcoholics are in America:3.3 million of them are teenagers
  • 28.6 million children of alcoholics are in the USA
  • 100,000 ten year old girls get drunk at least 1 time a week
  • 1 in 3 teenagers are heavy drinkers........1 in 7 will become a alcoholic
  • over 7,000 youth die in alcoholic related traffic accidents every year

I believe many who turn to alcohol are searching for love, security, protection and hope. We as born again believers need to walk upright before God in order to offer our help and the Love that God so freely gave to us........we need to give back. Love is the key factor in reality for without love people around us die.........

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is God: and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is love. 1 John 4:7-8

Illegal drugs are taking the life of many each day.
  • 1,370 youth will take an illegal drug during the next hour
  • 1 in 5 twelfth graders has tried cocaine or crack
  • 2/3rds of all our high school dropouts are involved in drugs
  • 57% of all illicit drugs are sold on the school campuses.

Are they getting Love? Do they know Love? I have watched so many younge people in passing down the streets of my home town who are so strung out, alone wandering here and there, searching for Love finding it in drugs.......reality is we need to reach out with our love.

As the father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love:even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. John 15:9-10

    Suicide.........Lets face Reality
  • In the past 30 years, teenage suicide has quadrupled
  • More than 5,000 teenagers die each year by suicide
  • More than 60,000 younge people died during the last decade: more than the number of Americans killed in Vietnam
  • In the last 8 years, more than 4 million teenagers have attempted suicide.

Reality is there is a empty void in their life.A hole that needs to be filled in. Love can fill a empty heart and give a person a brand new start........I want to remind you, its not just teenagers that are becoming alcoholis and using illegal drugs and wanting to commit suicide. Adults are giving up everyday. Even as you take time to read this, someone is attemping or thinking suicide. Love a key factor,in facing reality. If we don't take the time to spread God's Love, then we need to face something else.......".We are at fault"

Though I speak with tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity(LOVE), I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge:and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and I have not charity(LOVE),I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned and have not charity(LOVE), it profiteth me nothing. Charity(LOVE) suffereth long, and is kind: charity(LOVE) envieth not:charity(LOVE) vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil: Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth: Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity(LOVE) never faileth:And now abideth faith, hope Charity(LOVE) these three: but the greatest of these is charity(LOVE) 1 Corthians 13:1-13 Can we as christains face some reality around us and reach out with love, to those who need it? Without" Love" many will die.......without knowing Jesus as their Father......Reality is.................... But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Love the greatest gift we can ever give someone-lets start today.
