How Can We Please God?

If we think for a moment on the question"how can we please God" What would our reply be.........
It seems that we live in a society that thrives on trying to please others, and yet leaving God out, or putting Him last. I have tried so hard sometimes to please others and make them happy.......no matter if it was making me miserable. For see my focus was on pleasing others and not pleasing God. See if we are putting God first and pleasing him then we will be able to more please others.Lets face it, though some you can't please no matter how hard you try.

The bible tells us this: Even everyone that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him:yea,I have made him. This people have I formed for myself, they shall shew forth my praise. Isaiah 43:7,21

By us praising the Lord we are pleasing God. My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. Psalm 145:21

If we speak out the praise of the Lord , we please God I don't know if you have been in this situation before or not. But as a youth minister I often, often found myself trying to please the church people instead of doing what God had called me to do. We have to get our focus off those around us, get our focus on God and realize those around us might mean well........but they are not God.They did'nt call us.

Today I want you to realize something very important:
It is real hard to reach our highest potential without God..........because see God is the only one who knows what your and my potential is. He knows it all. He knows what we are capable of doing and how we are to minister to others. We can please God.........if we will try to please God ,as much as we try to please those around us,we will be better off.

The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation.I am the Lord: in its time I will do this swiftly. Isaiah 60:22

And whatsoever we ask, we recieve of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1 John 3:22
