We Need God's Friendship, Presence & Glory

Communicating is the most important aspect within a relatioship. People often drift apart, relationships fail and most of the time it is do to lack of communicating. It's the same thing with God. If we don't communicate with God through prayer, we drift away from Him.

In our everyday life we need God's Friendship. We need to know that we can go to God and talk to Him about anything that is going on in our life and that He is there to be our friend.

Exodus 33:7-11
Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from camp and called it the tabernacle of meeting. And it came to pass that everyone who sought the Lord went out to the tabernacle of meeting which was outside the camp.

* So it was, whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle, that all the people rose, and each man stood at his tent door and watched Moses until he had gone into the tabernacle

* And it came to pass when Moses entered the tabernacle that the pillar of cloud desended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses.

* All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door and all the people rose and worshipped each man in his tent door.

* So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face as a man speaks to his friend.

We all need to be like Moses and have a place where we can go and be alone with God. We need God's friendship Not only did Moses realize how important it was to have God's friendship, but he also realized he needed God's presence.

Exodus 33:12-17

* Then Moses said to the Lord, See, You say to me Bring up this people. But You have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet You have said I know you by name and you have also found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.

* And He said My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.

* then he said to Him if your presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.

* For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate Your people and I from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.

* So the Lord said to Moses I will also do this thing that you have spoken: for you have found grace in My sight and I know you by name.

We need God's presence in our life.

We also need God's Glory in our life.

Moses wasnt always real close to God. In Exodus 3:6 the bible tells us of a time when Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. Many times we get that very same feeling. We are afraid maybe to get to close to God, maybe we are afraid to spend time in the bible, maybe we are afraid to pray.........It can seem scary sometimes but we need God's glory. If we look on down in the scripture Exodus 33:18-23 reveals that God can make a change in our life. Moses now was no longer afraid and ask God to show His glory. Remember before he didnt want to see God. But now he does. We all need to commit ourselves to seeking to see God's glory. In turning toward daily time with God in prayer, daily time in the bible we can have God's friendship, God's presence and God's glory in our life. Its time to get our communication lines open up with God. Allow God to be a part of your life, He loves you and wants to be there for you. Open your heart and mind to Him.
