Where do You Turn When You Feel Depressed?
This pass week I have recieved many e-mails from many that feel depressed or are going through depression. I want anyone who might read this to realize that many go through depression each and every day. Whether you are a born again believer or a unbeliever you still can experience depression.
Depression is a very real happening in ones life. It can rob us of our joy, our love for our surroundings, depression can cause you to not want to be around people or go out in public and ect. I am speaking from experience depression is real and if you let it go it can overtake your life. The good news is, God wants you to know that He understands how you are feeling and why you are feeling that way. God's word offers help to those who are feeling depression.

* Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings: that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 1 Peter 4:12-13
* Blessed be God, even the father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort: Who comforteth us in all tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 2 Corthians 1:3-4
* God cares about everything you are going through. His word can help during the times that you might feel your very lowest. If you will let your mind think on His word, it will speak to your heart.

* Fear thou not: for I am with thee: be not dismayed :for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee: yea I will help thee:yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
* Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him: for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7
You know I have had many people tell me that a born again christain cannot be depressed or ever get depressed. I want you to know I don't agree with that. If everyone was honest I believe at one time or another everyone has been depressed about something. That is why it is so important to turn to Gods word for strength and be encouraged. Also, its important to talk and pray with others for that support that you need. Lets face it, we all live in a imperfect world where there is problems running rapid around us. You may be depressed or down over your job, a physical battle, where you live, money situations your children, your family your church.Even those of you who are in ministry, may be down about something. It seems as though the world and even some christains think that if you are in some type of ministry you have no problems, no struggles or you never get down.
Well from experience, I am here to tell you just because you are in ministry, does not keep you from having stuggles, let downs or being depressed. Been there my friends and done that. But God cares and he offers comfort in his word. Don't feel alone, ashamed or afraid to ask for prayer or talk to someone. I know what depression is all about and its no fun. God cares and their are christains who will pray with you and walk with you. There is many going through depression, but there is hope and deliverence with God.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
My friend seek God, he is waiting to hear from you. He loves you. And I love you, and don't you let anybody tell you that you are not a christain because you feel depressed because I am here to tell you I am borned again and love the Lord with all my heart and I have been depressed, more than one time. No I am not perfect, but I am forgiven and I find each day there is always room for improvement in my life............
Instead of passing judgement on someone that may be struggling, lets do what Jesus would do, and extend love and concern and help that one in need.
