Chinese Salad

Salad Ingredients:
1 head Napa cabbage
1 cup slivered almonds
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
4 green onions, chopped
1 cup chopped chicken breast (optional)
1 package Top Ramen, chicken flavored, noodles, crumbled

Dressing Ingredients:
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons Accent or MSG (optional)
Flavor pack from noodles

Instructions:
Slice cabbage crosswise, making slices about 1/4 inch wide, transfer to large bowl and pull cabbage slices apart into strands. Set aside and add chopped onions and chicken. Cover and place in refrigerator until time to serve (do not add nuts, seeds and noodles until ready to serve)

In dry skillet, preheated on medium heat, toast almond slivers until golden brown. Stir constantly to prevent burning. Transfer to separate bowl and set aside to cool. Repeat process with sesame seeds. Crumble Ramen noodles and add to almonds and sesame seeds.

In a jar or container with lid, pour sugar, vinegar and oil. Add pepper, flavor pack and Accent (if desired). Close container and shake until thoroughly mixed.

When ready to serve, pour dressing over salad, sprinkle nuts, seeds and noodles over the top, then toss until all is coated. Serve immediately.
