He Can Calm The Storms of Your Life

I believe that Jesus understood fear. When we speak about fear we know that fear means a feeling of alarm caused by danger. Or a feeling of dread. The night that Jesus was in the boat with the disciples, a very violent storm came up. It rocked the boat and the disciples actually feared for their lives. But even in the midst of the storm Jesus was calm. Matter of fact, Jesus was asleep. His disciples woke Him up and kinda got on to Him,for not caring if they drowned.

But Jesus first reaction to the storm was like this: He spoke to the storm to quiet down. After Jesus did this the wind became calm and the sea did too. Jesus had more power than the storm. Jesus has more power than any storm in your life. No matter what you are going thru the bible says: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.-2 Timothy 1:7. Jesus wants us to know that He can calm the storms of our life. And when he left here he left us with peace, His peace. We can call on Him anytime day or night and Jesus will be there to calm that storm we are going through.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. -John 14:27

Instead of being bound by fear we need to place our courage in the Lord and know that he will help us to overcome our fears. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24

When Jesus calmed the storm that night on the boat, He told His disciples they were afraid because they lacked faith.

They lacked that confidence, and instead let fear arise within them. That is exactely what we do sometimes we lack faith that God will calm the storm that we are going through and we let fear arise within us. Friends no matter what you are going through in your life, trust Jesus....He can calm the storms of your life.

The Lord is my light and my salvation: whom shall i fear? the Lord is the strength of my life: of whom shall I be afraid? Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear:though war should rise against me,in this will I be confident. Psalm 27:1-3
