A Child
A child's smile is worth so much:
A great big hug and lots of love.
Next to heaven, it sure must be
The greatest of all gifts that child can be.
They run and play, jump and scream......
Then, at close of day when night falls,
They lay their sweet
self down and dream sweet dreams.
A gift straight from heaven is that,
child that the Lord gave to me.
Someone to love and hold on too,
Even when things seem tough.
So, show them daily
Just how special they are.
Remind them they alone are
"Your Shining Star"
Teach them the ways of Jesus, our Lord.
Pray that they never stray.
Give them all the love you can,
Because without it.......a child cannot stand.
