Power In Prayer
If someone was to ask you the question - "What is prayer"? or "What does it mean to pray"? How would you answer that person? First of all, the word pray-means to ask earnestley for something. The word prayer-means a request for something. The bible tells us in Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you: seek and ye shall find: knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
For everyone that asketh recieveth and he that seeketh findeth: and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Then the word of God tells us this: All things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer believing, ye shall recieve. Matthew 21:22
I wonder sometimes, do we really believe the word of God, and what it says........Do we realize that when we talk about the word believe-that this word tells us we are suppose to accept things as being true.....So if we do accept things as being true then we need to realize that there is Power In Prayer, that Jesus is the Son Of God, that He died for us, and arose, that He loves us, that he will forgive us and Save us from sin.
In reading the scripture matthew 21:22 we can see that this means if we believe we can recieve whatever we ask for in prayer. We need to have a strong prayer life. We need to pray one for another, for our churches, for ministries, leaders, youth, children, Pastors and ect.We need to pray ferventely and earnestley for things we have need of, and believe that when we ask we will recieve.
So much of the time when people pray there is doubt in their minds and hearts, therefore it is hard to accept and recieve from the Lord.Doubt causes distrust and unbelief.
We can only make it by praying and believing and recieving. The bible tells us:seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethern see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently. 1 Peter 1:22
That scripture tells us that we have to have a geniune true love, one for another and not be hypocritical. Maybe, more of us need to be like Anna, she fasted and prayed night and day Luke 2:36-37
And there was one Anna-a prophetess the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser:she was of great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity: and she was a widow of about forescore and four years, which departed not from the temple but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
I challenge you, let prayer become a part of your life everyday.Ask, believe and recieve the things that God has for you.....Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving..... Col.4:2
Power In prayer
The power of prayer is a gift from above, and its power we hold in our hands.
The privilage we have to commune with the Lord,The world cannot understand.
It is a beautiful gift of the spirit, as the Savior draws near to our hearts: And whispers ever so softly that He hears and will never depart.
All is well as we bow in His presence and make our petitions known.just be still, and listen for a answer, and wait and have patience within.
For He really cares and gives to His children. His Love and His Blessings each day......we have the power of heaven, In our hands as we humbly pray
