History Hard Cover began in 1987 and since then, over 500 students have created over 150 programs...ranging from looking at racism, to musicshows, to panel dicussions on police brutality. Hard Cover is the only television program of its kind in Chicago. It's a program written, directed and produced solely by Chicago teenagers. Students film the show on location or at the Chicago Access Studios. Hard Cover is a project of Community Television Network, a video training program for low-income African-American and Latino youth in Chicago.
