Here are some pics of us taking out Kevins old 305. I'll post more pics as i get them but here are some pics to show you what we did. The reason we removed his old engine is because number one it sucked and it also developed a rod nock. We later learned he spun the number one rod bearing. We are lead to believe that the bearing got hurt while Kevin was racing a Rustang and his trans decided not to shift into 3rd gear and just free rev. The engine over-revved and the number one rod (the last rod to get oil) did not receive oil because the pan was sucked dry of oil while spinning in access of 7000 rpms. It was a great site to see and here. The eninge over-reved, smoke came out his exhaust pipes, the engine popped, burped, and farted, and had excessive valve float because of the rpms. Also Kevin was about 2 quarts low on oil. Oh yeah one more thing he had to get a new trans too. Three weeks later the Rod let itself be known. There are many pics on this page so it may take a while to load. Probably by the time you are done reading this it will finish loading.
