Welcome to The Trendy Swing Daddies Homepage!!

We're the swinginest swing band in Peoria. We play swing music because it's becoming popular.

We used to be a three-piece pop-punk band named The Freaks, but it really lost popularity, then we got a horn section and became a ska-core band called the Hand-Me-Downs, then ska lost popularity and now we play swing music so we can be liked and accepted by everyone and so we can be as popular as the rest of the in-crowd.

When we first formed, we were called the Trendys, but we soon realized that it was trendier to put the words "swing" and "daddies" somewhere in our name, so we did.

What is Swing? Swing is a musical style invented in the late 80's by ex-Stray-cats frontman, Brian Setzer. It's an off-shoot of ska, which itself was created by Gwen Stefani of "No Doubt" fame in the early 80s. But Ska lost popularity and is not important now. Swing is in and that's what we do. We are what's popular. Being famous is our only goal in life. We are musically inspired by the great swing sounds of the past like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, The Squirrel Nut Zippers, The Cherry Poppin' Daddies and the father of swing himself, Brian Setzer! We sing about drinking martinis and dancing the night away because that's what all the other swing bands sing about.
