Amy Jo Facts

)Amy Jo both DID NOT sing and play the "Felicity" theme song. On February 3rd on an interview on KissFM in Chicago, she clarified the mistake. She said that she has no idea how her name got credited for it on the Felicity soundtrack.

)Amy Jo took part in New York's 5k Revlon Run/Walk for Women to raise awareness and funds to help fight women's cancers. As you know her mom, Chris, died of Breast Cancer in Summer of 1998. Guess who Amy Jo ran the run with? You guessed it! While running she had her favorite possession Lucy, her American Bulldog, running right by her side.

)Last time, I said that Amy Jo left her band Valhalla to pursue a solo career and a record deal, and that she had been appearing randomly in New York Clubs. When I met her, though, she said that she was now in a band again. So we'll check for more on that later.

)While Amy Jo worked on Power Rangers, her stunt double was Sophia Crawford. Sophia left soon after Amy Jo did, because she was not built at all like Catherine Sutherland, plus her deal was signed with Amy Jo's. Sophia now works as Sarah Michelle Gellar's stunt double on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

)Amy Jo starred in 136 episodes on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, plus Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie.

)Amy Jo is very persuasive. So far, there are two incidents where she changed her characters from the way they were written into the way you see them today. The first one was with Power Rangers. The writers, including Saban, wanted to make Kimberly a dumb blond. They wanted her to be the "stupid" one of the Rangers. She got them to gradually change Kim to be more bright and more natural. Secondly, the Felicity writers wanted Julie to be a dancer (No, not exotic Derek). They wanted her to do ballet, but Amy Jo got them to change her character to guitar playing, scholar chic.

)Amy Jo Johnson will be promoting her music through her official site, amyjojohnson.net, which should be up within the next month. Apparently, The Official Amy Jo Johnson Fan Club (The site that had that URL before) was never actually official, and Amy Jo did not like being shown in a bathing suit.

)Amy Jo got her name from her mother. Her mother got the idea from the sisters Amy and Jo in Louisa May Alcott's Classic Novel, Little Women.
