The Word Through Poetry

This poetry was donated by a friend Jackie Casey. She wrote this in a note to a friend who was seeking. Perhaps soon, more poetry by her and others will be up.

Faith
I wish that you would allow yourself to see. I know that you've tried, but go deeper than that. Maybe it is because how precious you are can't be seen through open eyes. You have to look with an open heart. It can be difficult to do at first, letting go of logic and facts, and just believing. Blind faith is probably the most difficult thing in the world to grasp, but once you get hold of it, it becomes part of you and your life-forever. The blind part becomes less and less as time goies on because you begin to see God everywhere, from the faces of family and best friends, to even the stranger just passing by on the street. When you are used to living in a world where seeing is believing and everything is really predictable and black and white, it is difficult to accept change. When you let go of doubt, suddenly you realize that believing is seeing because your life becomes a multitude of color and light and the darkness you never even knew existed fades away. The empty void inside you that you never knew how to fill vanishes, and you are filled with new hope, hope for your life, hope for your future, and hope for yourself. I wish you could see yourself from the view point of an open heart because I'm sure it would help you open yours. When you do you will find yourself feeling happier than you ever thought possible, it is more than happy, it is heavenly, and that my friend, is when you have faith...
