Reasons I love TORI!
1. "Talula" is one of the best songs I've ever heard
2. Her lyrics are SO original and poetic
3. She is void of some of the awful characteristics most performers have, like a huge ego, a low IQ, and no respect for anything other than their paychecks.
4. She does things for her fans...prime example, the way she set up the US dates for the club leg of the tour for "from the choirgirl hotel" (even though i waited forever and didn't get tickets)
5. She's interesting! Tori, unlike lots of other musicians, does not get boring...
6. She is in charge of RAINN...It's great that she saw a worthy cause and a real problem in the world and she did something about it.
7. Her frankness. After all, honesty IS the best policy.
8. ok, ya knew it was coming, so let's just get it out of the way...she's fun to watch..i mean, besides being beautiful, it's fun to watch her at her piano.
9. She has faced many tragedies in her life, yet she has become a stronger person rather than dwelling on the past.
10. Her versatility...Listen to "Little Earthquakes" then listen to "Professional Widow"...Interesting, no?
11. Pictures of her in a lamb suit...too cute, too funny.. :)
12. Her acknowledgement of the faeries is not only interesting and sweet, but also shows that Tori is versed in folk culture.
13. Cause she fed Trent turkey! (I put this one up just to bug Camille)
14. She makes me want to dance naked outside on sunny days...Ever listen to "Happy Phantom" while barefoot in the grass? *s* Spine tingling
15. Her vocal range. High and low but no squeaky Mariah Carey crap!
16. Interesting and unique sleeve art...and i ALWAYS read the acknowledgements.
17. Her use of many different sounds in her songs...varied background vocals and instruments make her music so rich...
18. Her videos are so much fun to watch....
19. She plays piano and writes her own songs....There are a LOT of talentless hacks out there that don't play a damn thing OR write their own songs...
20. Her cute little sayings...."butter bean boquet" *s* i dunno, i'm just such a dork when it comes to Tori, but I think stuff like that is cute. :)
