Hello everybody!

*hehe* doesn't the subject line remind you of like some new kinda Barrbie doll or something along those lines? *heh* hmm well anyway lets see here..um last week I said we'd talk about the line from Pop Song "Your life's an open cold sore gotta get out the cream" and so that's what I'm going to do!!

I think that line is saying that either life can be so horible and painful that you have to do something to cover up all that stuff like drugs, alcohal ect ect .. going along with the addiction theme in the song.. or that it's saying because of the addictions that you life's a mess and you gotta get out the cream to start to heal it and fix it up again. something along those lines..

hmm if I could choise one sc song to be my theme song what would it be.. umm well I think that the song that probably best discribes me curently is 'The Closing' because I can relate to the whole I'm alone.. part of the song.. actually the whole song.. but anyway I have to say that would deffinitly be my theme song!

and finally "Yes, I have got a girl's haircut. I'm in touch with my feminine side. We have this ongoing competition about who can get the gayest haircut. My friend Jason has just kicked my ass by getting a layered feather-cut like in that movie Pretty in Pink." (Daniel) :*LOL* well I think that this is just Daniel acting strange again.. and joking about how feminine he is ect ect weather or not he is serious about any of the stuff I guess we'll never know.. alright well i better go now.. later!

Great issue Heidi!! I read what lyric you chose, and I HVE to comment:

"Your life's an open cold sore gotta get out the cream" This lyric probably means to me that yeah in life there's like tons of problems and a lot seem to be getting worse and worse..... some people can't handle the pain of life, love, death, money, whatever it is, so they take drugs, as an escape, like it's a cure or something. I know someone very close to me has a drinking problem, but she won't stop, she keeps doing it, and it ends up ruining everyone else's lives.....

hi!
I'm the new person who was introduced...ok, now that I sound like a dork, I'll get on to the real message here...=)

"Your life's an open cold sore, gotta get out the cream": I think this means that life can be really raw, and you need something to smooth over the rough spots. I know that once I was having a really bad day, and when I got home, my FIRST-EVER issue of the LAS was in my mailbox! I was happy for about two weeks after that...I actually ended up annoying lotsa people by telling them all this stuff I found out about silverchair...I'm sorta (uh, actually, VERY) obsessed with them...they RULE!! That was the cold sore cream for me...

Representative song:
Hmmmm...most likely "Learn To Hate" I change all the "her"'s to "him"'s...it does wonders!! I had this "friend" who stole my best guy friend...and she KNEW I liked him, too! Now, they're going out and I just listen to "Learn To Hate" instead of beating the crap out of her when I see her...

If it weren't "Learn To Hate" it would hafta be "Suicidal Dream". I have thought lots about suicide, but decided not to cos the 'chair is still alive...so I have something to liv for. I can relate to all the lyrics in both of these songs, and they're my faves on either album...

Dan's gay haircut: I think he's trying to ward off the teenies...if he makes it sound like he's gay, they maybe won't try to attack him as much if they know they don't have a chance? I like his hair...but that's cos it's his hair and he can do whatever the hell he wants with it! One of my friends who said "silverchair's my favorite band ever!" hates Dan and Ben's new haircuts AND she hates surfin' bird...favorite band indeed! Anyways, any look the guys get with their hair is cool with me...it's not like it changes the music! As long as they keep on rocking and have a NON-18+ show in Boston SOON, they'll be fine!

OK, my hands are startin to hurt now! =)
C-ya,
Melanie (silvergirl)

P.S.~HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEIDI!!!

"Your life's an open cold sore gotta get out the cream"- it's just telling someone that they're a loser and they need to do something to fix up their life. maybe stop doing drugs or get a kob or something.

if you could choose one silverchair song to be your theme song what would it be?- freak- cuz that's what i seem to be and i like it. and it says stuff that sounds funny just like what i say. i don't know really.

"Yes, I have got a girl's haircut. I'm in touch with my feminine side. We hav this ongoing competition about who can get the gayest haircut. My friend Jason has just kicked my ass by getting a layered feather-cut like in that movie Pretty in Pink." (Daniel)- i think that's really funny. it's probably just some sarcastic comment to someone making fun of his gorgeous long hair. stupid fuck.

bye-bye.
love, kelly.

~*THE CLOSING*~
Welcome to the closing, it's the end of another scfreaks issue that's actually out on time! wow! well anyway next week we'll talk about the line "A frozen statue can't walk away" from Nobody Came and let us know what you think os this line.. and then the question of the week is if the guys from silverchair (one or all of them) went to your school, but weren't in silverchair and weren't famous.. do you think that you'd want to hang out with them? do you think they'd be your friends? tell me your thoughts and be as detailed and creative as you'd like to be! and then the quote is:"We don't really drink on tour. Sometimes for special occasions we'll go out and have a big night. The big drinkers are our crew! And Daniel doesn't drink at all." - Ben
Alright that's it! Bye!
