Hello everyone,
Well lets see.. this week's song was Blind and so I'm gunna talk about it!
What does blind me to me eh? Well this week, I've been having a really bad
time at school (those of you who talk to me off the list will know what I'm talking about)
and some how silverchair's songs (mainly no association and learn to hate and the closing
and suicidal dream) have having more of an impact on me then they did before which is weird
cause I could already relate to them more then any other bands songs.. but the first few
lines of this song "i need to get out there's something wrong round here" is kinda how
i've been feeling. I really like this song, I think it's kinda about knowing something
is wrong and not being able to do anything about it.
And what do I hope silverchair's next album will sound like.. Well I'd like them to stick
with the heavy songs they've always had, and keep up the really wonderful, emotional lyrics
they've always had, (especially on freak show) but to also keep experimenting with stuff,
I thought having all the diffrent stuff on freak show (the punk song, the slow song,
the indian percussion ect) was really cool, and pretty risky, but I think everyone
loved it and it was a good risk. But as I said before, I'll love silverchair even if
they start singing hip hop on the next album! I just can't see myself hating them, no mater what they do!
Later
To:
hello to all you wonderful and beautiful people on this glorious and
exuberant list (note: i have no clue what exuberant means, or even if it's
a word). yes foo fighters would be the choice of song lyrics for my
subject!
well, to start off, on sc's next album i hope to hear lots of good heavy
stuff like frogstomp had, but i'd also like to hear more experimenting like
freak show had! so either way would work for me! but i guess it doesn't
matter, cuz no matter what silverchair does, i will probably like them!
blind: a song i would say is basicaly like if you have problems don't come
crawling to me. well, part of it means that to me. my mother always puts
all her problems on me, and i really don't care for it. i don't mind
listening, but she turns them into my problems....
ThAt's It FoR mE!!!

Ok, I know this isn't the song of the week, but I just had to talk about
it. I haven't listened to this song for a while, even though it's my
favorite silverchair song. I put it on today, and it sounded different,
like I was listening to it for the first time. When I first heard it, I
immediately connected with it because of the lyrics and I liked the
music that went with it because it was so heavy. I know this is basicly
pointless to be telling you, but I thought it was cool how it sounded
new to me. Anyways, for the question of the week-- I hope sc's new album
sounds somewhat like Freak Show. I like Freak Show better than
frogstomp because of the heavier sound and better lyrics. So I'm hoping
we'll get that kind of stuff on the next album, too. About Blind-- I
love this song! I can't really relate to the lyrics, but I love the
music to it (especially after he says "but he cannot not see, he's
blind"). This song just plain rocks. Enough blabbing from me.
