It all started out when 3 guys that lived in Orlando or close to Orlando met each other at auditions.Howie D,A.J. McLean, and Nick Carter ran into each other all the time. Oneday they decided to start a little trio and so they did. They started singing and then decided to take ita step futher....A new recording company called transcontinantel heard the 3 guys sing and instantly liked them....But something was still missing in the group.
Kevin Richardson was working for Disney at the time playing Aladdin when one ofhis friendscame upto him one day and told him there was a group that was starting up and that they needed another singer and incouraged him to try out. So Kevin did and the guys liked him so he was now a backstreet boy. Still though there was something missing.
They had auditons for a 5th member but noone was really good enough so that's when kevin said he had a cousin in Kentucky who sang for his church and school choir that might be interested. He called Brian.
Brian was at school when he got the news that his cousin was in a group and that he wanted him to try-out for it. Brian said sure and hoppped a plan to Florida. Brian gave the group all he had with his choir voice and that's all the guys needed to hear when they signed him on.
