I miss Liz too much. When I saw her kiss that Conner McDermott I heard about, I was going to be sick. Liz is too fragile for him, it's time to take back what's mine.

Chapter 1: One More Chance

Elizabeth Wakefield walked down the halls of Sweet Valley High and thought about what she was going to do. Already apologized to Maria, and tried to help Conner. Now all I can do is wait.

"Liz!" a chirpy voice sang out, "wait up!" Liz stopped, and waited, she knew that voice too well...she waited for Tia Ramirez to join her.

"Hi Tia."

"I heard."

"About what exactly?" Liz questioned.

"You and Conner. You'll be okay?" Tia said with concern in her eyes.

"Yeah of course. I really liked him though. Wait...how did you know about us?"

"Conner."

"Oh." Liz was about to open her mouth again, when a deep voice interrupted her. Todd. She turned around to face him. He looked good, but not as good as Conner did which was dishevelled, yet sexy.

"Oh, hey Tia." Todd glanced her way and greeted. Tia's eyes were widened in surprised. Todd turned back all his attention toward Elizabeth.

"Hi."

"Liz. Brunch. I'll pay." Todd said casually.

"Uh, sure." Liz's answer was swallowed from a long kiss from Todd. Then he left.

"Why did I say yes? I still have to straighten things out!!! With Maria, and You-Know-Who!" Liz griped.

"Your problem Liz." Tia said and left with a smile.

Will drove into the parking lot, and sat in the seat with deep thought. Jessica + Aames + Simmons = ? Wouldn't work out. Will decided and stepped out of his jeep, and walked towards Sweet Valley High. As soon as he walked into school, his Jess-radar had went on, and in an instant spotted Jessica. Beautiful, forgiving, Jessica. Jessica was alone, so Will decided to take his chance, and talk to her. But as soon as Will took a step toward her, Tia Ramirez, the captain of the cheer leading squad, walked up to her. Jess' face lit up which was really attractive. Elizabeth Wakefield, Jessica's twin sister, scooted up behind Tia.

Will took a step back, and turned his heel, and back to jessica. Maybe later, when she's alone...at her work.

"Hey Jess!" Tia greeted cheerfully. Jess looks happy, Tia observed, Great!

"Jess, you look great!" Tia spoke her thoughts out loud," Riot tonight?"

"No can do Tia," Jess refused,"Work."

"Liz? Since Jess can't...you?" Tia asked hopefully, and wasn't disappointed, because with Liz, Tia could never get disappointed.

"Sure. After the ORACLE meeting. On a roll for stories. Riot at 7:00?" Liz organized.

"Sure. Oh mi gosh! I almost forgot!" Tia gave a side-ways glanced in Liz's direction, which Liz caught.

"Don't say anything!" Liz protested.

"Todd asked Liz out for brunch," Tia said leaving the best for last,"Then, kissed her." Tia continued ignoring Liz's gripe, "She said yes to the brunch."

"Because of the kiss?" Jess asked curious.

"No. Before that." Tia smiled.

"Go Liz!" Jess encouraged.

"No, bad Liz!" Liz yelled at herself.

"Liz, it's not that bad." Tia said, "Go with it!"

"Okay." Liz said meekly. And they went to class.

Conner McDermott was already on his way to class, and way thinking. Liz. What am I going to do with her? Panic flooded Conner's chest. What if she called someone and said something? Conner was panicking but was successfully covering it up. In the halls, girls kept looking at him, smiling hopefully, that he would recognize them. Conner enjoyed the attention usually, but right now he ignored it. He rushed into creative-writing class, and spotted Liz. Boldly walking over to her, he leaned over and whispered something in her her.

"Did you say anything to anyone?" he asked straight forward.

"No." Liz said quietly, shifting in her seat uncomfortable.

"Good keep it that way." Conner finished and walked to his seat. Absolutely the most gorgeous creature, but not someone to trust. Fifty-five minutes later, the class was over. Conner practically ran out of the classroom, avoiding Liz.

Todd ran through the halls trying to catch up with Liz. He caught a glimpse of some of her hair as she rounded the corner.

"Liz!" Todd ran over to her. Beautiful. Was the first word that came to his mind seeing her.

"Hey Todd!" Elizabeth said cheerfully, but Todd saw it in her eyes that something wrong.

"We still on tomorrow?" Todd reassured. There was a glimmer of doubt in Liz's eyes.

"Well...uh...sure." Okay, there is something wrong. Todd thought.

"You okay?"

"Yeah." Liz said so quietly, Todd could barely hear her, "See ya later."

"Okay. Bye!"

"Bye." and with that, she walked away. That was very strange. Todd thought to himself.

Jeremy walked into the House of Java, feeling good. Jeremy found Jessica in the mob.

"Jess," Jeremy said behind her,"Wanna go out tonight?"

"Can't. Homework. Plus, I have to close the place." she explained,"Sorry."

"That's okay. I gotta go now. Just came to ask. Bye." Jeremy said.

"Bye." Jessica replied, and kissed him on the cheek. Then he left.

Jessica walked into the back of HOJ, and took off her apron, and prepared herself a latte'. She made her way to an empty table. I like Jeremy so much. But Will looked so sorry last night. I just don't know. Jessica had been so wrapped up in her own thoughts, she hadn't noticed Will Simmons walk in and order. Will spotted Jessica and Jessica did not have time to react, because Will had Just reached the table.

"Hey Jess. Is anybody sitting here?" Will asked politely. There is something different about him.

"No one," Jess answered briefly, "What brings you here?"

"You." she could've sworn he said under his breath.

"Excuse me?"

"Sleepy. Coffee." Will changed his answer, and answered shortly.

"Oh. Well, I gotta go now. Break time is over. Bye." Jessica stood up, but was stopped short by a hand that clamped over her own. She jerked around in surprise. Her eyes went to her hand, then to Will's hand and up his arm, until her eyes reached Will's beautiful face, into his eyes.. Jessica had seen a bunch of guys more cuter than Will, like Liz's sort-of-ex Conner McDermott, who looked extremely good, but something about Will that made her heart skip a beat.

Jessica made it sound like a discovery. Will is so... Jessica couldn't find the word for it. It seemed as though their silence lasted forever, until Will broke the silence.

"I really like you, you know?" Will said.

"No. I don't know." Jessica said, and walked away from the table.
