...Once upon a time there was this decade where the toys were awesome,
the music was fun, the fashion was insane.. and this was the 80's.
Now me being only 15 and a half at the moment I born in 1983..so I can
tell you much about the early 80's..Anyway..So I've been thinking lately..
what this decade misses is a lot of the fun the 80's had in it, which is
probably why I'm so attacted to stuff like sailor moon and the spice girls,
star castles.. ect.. cause they remind me of the awesome stuff I had way
back when I was a little kid.
First of all we had much better childerns shows..When I was a kid
we had great stuff like The Ghostbusters, Zoobily Zoo, Jem(I wanted to BE Kimber),
Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony..I mean hell.. if those shows were still on
I'd watch em! and another thing that bothers me is remember how many kids
game shows we had? Like Finders Keepers, Double Dare, Fun House, I'm telling,
and that one with the animals and Alan Thick that came on Saturday mornings?
There are like no more kids game shows anymore.. I have an 12 year old brother..
I should know what kids are watching now..I really loved those shows...you know?
And then of course there were the toys! my little ponys, Jem dolls, Light Brite,
Maxie dolls, Barbies of course..and all those cool board games that used to come out like all the time..
not to mention all the Rainbow Brite dolls, Lady Lovely locks, She-ra and He-Mans stuff
The movies of the 80's had something no other decade really focused on ..teenagers!
There were so many great movies back then.. you know The Breakfast Club, 16 Candles,
Pretty in Pink, Say Anything, Ferris Buler.. the list goes on and on..
What I'm trying to say here is that the 80's were an extreamly fun decade and I wish I could go back to the age of all that wonderful stuff!
