Museum at Heraklion - A Bull's head libation vase
The Bull symbolized the Minoan civilization which flourished in
the second millenium B.C. Minoan craftsmanship was incredible
for such an early period. This bull is really a kind of ancient
world "decanter bottle"--with substantially more artistic merit
than the binocular bottles, whiskey cannons, and hollow
automobiles that are valued by today's collectors of "decanter-
ware".
