MY SASH GOWN

I actually created two of the Sash Gowns. The first one is made very similar to the one worn by Rose. These beautiful gowns each have five layers of silk organza. The first gown has colors ranging in layers of light lavendar to rose for the sash. The ivory satin bodice front of the gown is covered with soft ivory lace. Then the entire bodice is layered with lavendar silk organza. The bodice is adorned around the neckline with narrow ivory lace. Added onto that lace trim is small white seed pearls which were added on by hand.

The second gown that I created has a longer bodice. So, the fit is totally different. The fit in the bodice as well as the waistline has been totally changed. Other than that, the gown is designed exactly as the first.

This is very comfortable and still has that graceful flowing of the silk organza. The second gown was created using five layers of silk organza again, ranging in a different selection of colors. These colors range from deep lavender, with a shimmery effect, to rose. The undergown is made from the same ivory satin as the first. The bodice front is also covered with a layer of soft ivory lace. The neckline is once again accented with a narrow ivory lace. On this lace. once again sewed on white seed pearls. This is the same as the first gown. The only difference in these two gowns is the length of the bodice, and the tighter fitting waistline.

Both of these gowns are beautiful and flowing. Even the slightest breeze makes the silk organza chiffon move so ever so gracefully. I know that seeing it in the movie, well, it is just the same. The gowns are so comfortable and the gentle movement of the fabric is so graceful to watch.

Jewelry for this gown are small drop pearl ear rings and a tiny seed pearl necklace. In the movie, Rose did not have on a necklace with this gown. She did have on the small drop pearl ear rings though.
