Welcome! This is a page dedicated to getting young people in
Chicagoland together to give back to the community that gave so much
to them. Together, we will assist those groups who help so many others.
The idea is basically to form a team to go out and help others in their
fundraising efforts and also to independently help people in our own
communities. Whether it be entering as a group to walk against domestic
violence or the AIDS walk, or helping out a few hours at a local nursing
home, it's a good way to feel more a part of a bigger plan in life: to
succeed in promoting brother/sisterhood. I looked online for groups to
get involved with to make me feel more fulfilled and found very little to
my liking. So I decided to shape my own future. I felt like there were
others like me out there thinking there is more to life than 9 to 5. This
is the perfect way to feel part of a positive group for fun and volunteer
work. I believe in this dream, and I'm convinced I just have to give it my
all.
Since putting the page up, I have contacted the Mayor's Office for
assistance and advice to get the group going. Locally, I will be making
flyers to get my contacts at the Board of Education to distribute to young
adults they know. I also will be spreading the word through email, chat and
ICQ. Please feel free to spread the word, too. Within the next few weeks,
I'll have more info. If you'd like to get onto the mailing list now, please
submit your information using the form below.
