Too Much Pressure?

As I lay here and think, I realize that I could snap at any moment. It sounds strange, but the only place I feel calm is in the hallway before school. In those few moments we all sit around and talk about the homework we didn't finish, and what we will do in the upcoming weekend. It all seems so important, but then the bell rings and everything changes. We are bombarded with homework, and all these facts that we're expected to remember. Is it too much pressure? Lunch brings a slight release, but only temporarily. Then, it's back to class. The final bell rings; the halls flood with laughter, but also with groans. Some of us will go home to face our families and the problems, or lack there-of, that lie in wait for us all day. Others must wait a couple hours longer until they can go home. For some this is even harder. When they finally get home there are chores to do. And you can't forget all the homework! It seems like there aren't enough hours in the day. Parents are pushing for their children to be the best, to excel in sports or music or academics. With all the stress coming from school and home, I can't help but wonder again: Is it too much pressure?
