Isn't it odd
How a life can change
In a seconds time
Almost to disintegrate
Before the very eyes
Of a person not so great
All others around are
Sure hope is gone
Because they know not
The person very well
And the integrity
They possess
All they see is the outer
Shell wearing down
But the mind is sharp
And that is all you need
The heart only pains and
The body gives up
So it's hard to keep sane
Although a person's life
Is seemingly gone
If they say that they are fine
Believe them
Don't think of them
Though life is over
Because it's not
Until they say it is
