Our First Edition!
Hello readers! This is the smashing debut issue of "Off the Wall" and we would like to take this chance to introduce our paper and ourselves. We are students with opinions who want a place to express them freely without being told we are wrong. We are unconventionalists; the rules of journalism don't apply to us. We want more out of our lives and we want you to be able to get the most out of yours. We want to make you think.
Our staff consists of Lexington High School students ranging in age, talent,
interests, and abilities. We meet two times a week at 7:30 AM and take
responsibility for almost every aspect of this paper, from brainstorming ideas
to the final printing. Of course, none of this would be remotely possible with
out the guiding hand of Mrs. Sondra Wisdom, our sponsor and group leader.
In every issue of "Off the Wall," there will be a variety of things that we
hope will appeal to everyone, regardless of age, sex, or beliefs. This issue
comes to you free by mail, but look for future issues at the following locations
for the small fee of ten cents: Freedom, Commerce Bank, the Grocery Store, and
