Defend Violent Music
Korn
Limp Bizkit
Eminem
I'm a person with a wie varity of music. I like 98* and N Sync, but I also like Korn, Limp Bizkit, Eminem, and Kid Rock. People have been bashing these bands like there is no tomorrow saying they cause the violence that teens do. Teens first off, have to have some common sense in the first place to notice the difference between real life and make believe. They also should know that the musicians are speaking from personal experience. Just because they feel a certain way they aren't saying that you should too. "We sing from personal experience. That's why its so good. We don't expect every other teen out there to feel the same way as we do", Fred Durst from Limp BIzkit explains. "I've went through a lot of $hit in my life. I don't think I know anyone that has felt the exact way that I have...maybe close, but not exact," Jon Davis, the the lead singer of Korn says. Many musicians say its not their responsibility to watch after every kid who gets killed. They do sympathesize, but they think its they parents' responsibility, which i agree with. "We're here to express our feelings. It's just in a different way than everyone else" Eminem says. Violent music has been around for years, why are they now starting to pound down on it? Is it because it's easier than doing research and finding the core to the problem???
So if you agree that music should not be bashed for something that they cant take full responsibility for, e mail me and we can start a e mail chain letter to send to people (like the Senate of many different states, ect.) and tell them why it's not musicians fault. They shouln't have to take care of every teen out there.
