Paso Finos were introduced to the Americas by explorer Hernando Cortez
Their heritage is that of Arab, Barb, Spanish Jennet, Lusitano, and Andaluz stock
The breed's most distinct feature is their smooth gait at three different speeds: the Corto, the Largo, and the Fino
These horses are smaller in size, finer in bone, and have hearts bigger than any breed!
Versatility is prevalent in the breed- from showing, to trailriding, to showjumping and even cattleworking!
Pasos are not color exclusive- Paint, Cremello, White, Chestnut, and many other colors are welcome everywhere.
Pasos have a spirited yet calm disposition that makes them their owners' best friends forever. Truly, they have a heart of gold.
Here's Ickis executing a snappy paso corto. Isn't he just dapper?
And, here's Ickis jumping- his favorite pastime! (don't mind my poor form, please:-)
