Michael Dennison has published poetry in several small magazines and journals including New Delta Review, The Journal, Nebraska Review, and Frank. Last year saw the publication of his book Vampirism: Literary Tropes of Decadence and Entropy. Currently he is at work on a novel as well as a work of literary scholarship titled In the Spookhouse with Heidegger: Ghosts and Dread in Literature, Art, and Music. The poems published here in King Log are from his manuscript Stil Novo. He teaches writing and literature at Carlow College in Pittsburgh. He regularly reads his poetry to jazz accompaniment with the Ken Foley Trio.
