Alys Culhane is currently an Assistant Professor of creative nonfiction writing at Plymouth State College, in Plymouth, N.H. She is the author of Road Songs: Essays on Exploring New Zealand by Bicycle, and co-author of The Alaska Bicycle Touring Guide. The poems are from a manuscript entitled Dog Dreams. Culhane owns a husky mix named Bootleg, a good dog who never strays far from home.
