Suzanne Thurman is a former history professor who nows spends her days as a writer, musician, and mother of two small boys. Her non-fiction book on the Shakers (Syracuse Univ. Press) won a 2002 Choice Outstanding Academic Book Award. Her poetry and fiction have appeared in many journals, most recently The Mochila Review, The Cresset, and Studio. She has work forthcoming in Poem, RE:AL, Aries, The Square Table, and War, Literature, and the Arts.
