Bruce Kijewski has been a mainstay of poetry in Venice, California, and at UCLA for an undetermined number of decades. For ten years, he was editor of Jacaranda Review at UCLA, where he is currently teaching for the UCLA Freshman and Transfer Summer Program. He received an MFA from Warren Wilson, where Louise Glück directed his thesis manuscript. He has been known to pack heat, but only in exactly the right places, at exactly the right times.
