I first found out that Creed was coming to Tupelo by reading it in the paper right before I left for class on Tuesday, October 1st. I remember just screaming at the top of my lungs and jumping up and down. I have been wanting to see their show for a long time. In the paper, it said that the tickets would go on sale the next Monday morning at 10:00 am. Well, on the way to class, I got a phone call from my best friend, Misty. I thought she was just trying to tell me about the concert so I picked up the phone and just started screaming and talking really fast about Creed. She then stopped me, and broke the news...I had just won $100 dollars from the drawing her class did. They sold chances about a month beforehand and I had bought 10 of them and I actually won!! I was really excited then!! I actually had been worried about how I was going to afford tickets at $54 a ticket! I swore that it had to have been meant for me to go to this concert!!

The Sunday night before the tickets went on sale, my friend LuAnn and I camped out at the coliseum. We were the second ones in line by arriving there at 8:00 that night. We actually waited in line for about 15 hours to get these tickets! Also, we only had about 3 hours sleep at the most. Just to let everyone know, we should definitely be known as the Weathered tour. That night as we were waiting, we had to endure a pretty good storm. The wind and lightening was the worst part of it all, however by morning, it cleared up and was pretty! We got pretty good seats, not what to be expected for 2nd in line but decent seats. We got in section 105 which is on the right-hand side of the stage towards the back. I wanted to get on the floor, being general admission, I knew as tall as I am, I could easily see and push my way towards the front. However, my friends going with me all wanted in a section.

![]() The week before the concert we all found out that Twelve Stones was not going to be there and that they were being replace with Sterofuse which had not even released an album before our tour date. That was a kind of disappointment...but Creed made up for it!! Well, we went and found our seats and yes, they kind of sucked but I set my mind and wasn't going to complain about it. Anyway, before the concert, I told a couple of my friends that if they planned to try to get on the floor to be sure to come get me and I wanted to go with them. Well, they didn't...and I was pissed. :) And, on top of that they kept trying to rub it in by coming by and waving with their wristbands that they happen to get someway. Well, all through Default's performance, I was trying to figure out how to get a wristband so I could get on the floor. I had just about decided to give up when I noticed this little boy in the section next to me who was sitting with his parents...HE HAD A WRISTBAND! I called him over and asked if he planned to sit there the rest of the concert (knowing he couldn't see if he did go on the floor) and the little boy said "I dunno..." and started to walk away. Desperate, I stopped him and told him that I would pay him for it. He went and asked his dad about it and a second later he came over and said that I could have it. I paid him $10 for it just to thank him, since I did offer. Off I went to find the jerks that left me!! :) I found them right before the lights went off. Let me tell you this...if you get on the floor to a rock concert...1.) Wear comfortable shoes. 2.) Be sure you know who you're standing next to! I swear we were stnding so close to each other that we all looked like sardines in a can! Anyway, Creed came out and right from the start it was AWESOME! Also, it didn't hurt that we were just feet from the stage. But, thanks to trying to dress "cute," the boots I was wearing with the 3 1/2' heels was killing my feet by the end of the 5th song. So, I decided to take them off, and every time we shuffled closer, I had to kind of kick my boots with me since we were so packed. Ok, to shorten the story...At the end of the concert, Creed's bassist, Mark, was throwing the picks that he used during the show, and one came right next to me!! I fought another girl for it and luckily I won once I started slamming her hand on the concrete floor!! But to let you guys know how pretty it is, I put a picture of it on this page!! But if you ever have the chance to see Creed live DO SO!! I know I'll be back! |
